    Born and raised in Canada, near the Rocky Mountains, Sabel is an outdoor enthusiast who has always had his heart and head in the wilderness of the mountains
    
    When Sabel's sister was diagnosed with a terminal illness, his life began taking a downward turn. His overtly protective and defensive nature landed him in numerous fights and detentions. As his sister's condition got worse, so did his academics and social life. When she passed away at the age of seven, Sabel's magical abilities surfaced resulting in the expulsion from his school.
    
    For three years, Sabel was moved from school to school as his parents tried to figure out what to do. At the age of 13, his mother was diagnosed with the same disease his sister had fallen victim too. Not wanting to see their son succumb to emotional grief, his parents decided it would be best to send him out of the country, and so at the age of 14 he was transferred to Hogwarts in Scotland for the wizarding school program.

    During his first year at Hogwarts, Sabel struggled to find his place in the new wizarding world. Having grown up in a purely muggle environment, his tendencies remained towards the muggle way of doing things, and he struggled to pick up magic as a second nature concept
    
    With the recent passing of his sister, Sabel opted to delve completely into a new life and (for what he later regretted as one of his worst decisions) he withheld telling his friends about his sister, or his family life. Despite this, he was able to solidify friendships that would last a lifetime.
    
    Close to the end of his first year, trouble came to Hogwarts in the form of Sam Huxley. By a stroke of luck, and grace of being allergic to butterscotch of all things, Sabel avoided being drawn into the underground fight-club comprised of Hogwarts students. Instead, he ended up on the other side of the hexed students, fighting to defend the castle against his friends and Huxley.
    
    It was this experience that fueled the protective fire of his personality, and thanks to the influence of Headmaster Gallen Tate, gained a great interest in the career pathway of an Auror, and and later as an ITF agent.
    
    His second year at Hogwarts passed with few hitches, only to be followed up by his third year, in which he hit a rocky road. His mother, having fallen seriously ill to the same disease which claimed the life of his sister, passed away during the Christmas of his sixth year. It was only upon his father's insistence that he returned to Hogwarts and struggled through the remained of the year.
    
    Trying to clear his head, and deal with the reoccurring losses, Sabel returned to Canada for the summer, working in the solitude of an outdoor wilderness camp as a Camp Coordinator.
    
    Despite his summer of isolation, Sabel came back to another year that proved to be an emotional and mental roller-coaster. While struggling with the decision between leaving Britain to join the ITF or remain to join the Aurors, Sabel entered a relationship with his best friend, Arya Lovegoods.
    
    Political intrigue and mystery began to develop around the Ministry of Magic, with the presence of a group known as 'the Cult' becoming more prominent. Alongside this, threats to the traditional government overseeing Hogwarts came into light. Unable to find a peaceful state of mind in leaving, and ever focused on the safety of his friends still within the school walls, Sabel relinquished his hopes of joining the ITF and applied to the Department of Magical Law Enforcement for placement in the Auror office in order to remain close at hand should the gnawing suspicions in the back of his mind become realized. He would not however, if asked, deny his excitement for being granted the opportunity to learn and grow from those that valued the protection of others as he did.

    A YATI trainee at the time of the Cult's infiltration into the Ministry, Sabel was involved in assisting the senior Auror's in the effort to bring down the organization

    After the Cult, Sabel spent a year working in London as a graduated Auror. Shortly after, he departed from London for seven years working on various, classified, undercover assignments for the MLE
