When he was done, Adi bounded into the classroom, feeling the bit of chill but it didn't bother him. He loved the cold, you know. His smile widened when he say the Grey Lady. "Professor Helena! Hello!" Did she like his costume? Did she know whom he had dressed up as? Hehe. Waiting was something she never had been good at so she was pleased when the first student walked in. Smiling Helena said "Good afternoon Aditya or should I call you Mr Newt Scamander?" An obvious choice considering their conversation not long ago. Quote:

Grabbing that and a "Minister for Magic" pin, Benzi waltzed into the classroom and took a seat next to the windows, clearly very pleased with himself. "Hello Professor," he greeted her with a smile, ignoring the cold he'd come to associate with her classroom and put his bag down. Now, the only question is, how many people knew that Kingsley Shacklebolt wore a gold hoop earring? And, more importantly, did they know who Benzi was dating? Looking her house prefect up and down and noting the gold hoop earring Helena said "Afternoon Benzi! You chose an interesting costume. I had forgotten that Shacklebolt wore a gold earring." She wasn't sure if everyone knew that Kingsley had served as Minister of Magic for a period. Quote:

Nodding to him Helena said. "Good day Benjamin. You accessorized wisely. Bill Weasley would have been proud of you." Especially since he had brought a stuffed dragon along. Quote:

Once putting on other accessories that were band-worthy, he walked into the classroom to greet his HOM professor."Hello professor...what do you think of this outfit? I'm dressed as one of famous wizard musician in the wizarding world."he asked, grinning slightly. As Henric walked into the classroom Helena paused to give his rocker look with the long hair and leather jacket a stare. "Afternoon Henric. I like the musician costume. Can you play an instrument like Myron in the Weird Sisters?" Or he could just like the band's music. Quote:

Fixing the wig on her head to hide her hair she looked for one more thing.
Ah-ha! Perfect. A fake fish which she could hold as a prop. It would do well in serving as a hoddock.
Now dressed up the fourth year made her way into the room. "Hello Professor," She greeted with a light smile and a nod at her fellow mates. Selecting a seat in the middle somewhere she waited on the lesson to begin. Next up to arrive was Ms Lynch that carried a fish for prop. "Hello Hady, it's interesting that you chose Mirabella of all famous witches. Are you perchance fascinated by merpeople?" Helena queried curiously. Maybe she should warn that handsome groundskeeper Justin to keep an eye on meetings between students and merpeople. Quote:

Janelle had been so focused on getting her look together that she hadn't paid attention to her classmates. She took a moment to check out their costumes and try to guess who they were. It took a few moments but then Janelle of the eagles walked in wearing Gryffindor robes. It got Helena momentarily confused until she figured out who she was portraying. "Hello Janelle, nice choice of famous witch. You've certainly got potential to be as intelligent as Hermione Granger-Weasley with some practice." Quote:

Tah-dah. Gunhilda of Gorsemoor. She was humpbacked and a healer. She was famous for discovering the cure for dragonpox. She had a statue. Famous. Historical.
She offered a small smile to the Ghost Lady Professor as she quickly passed. She then took a seat and waited for the lesson to start. "Hello Kaycee!" Helena greeted as the lioness passed by quickly in her humpbacked healer costume. Healer Tillstorm might have a got a budding protégé in Sir Nick's house. "Interested in healing magic?" she queried. Then he went to go find his seat near the middle and got out his notebook and waited for things to get moving. Then he noticed the dress up part of the lesson. He saw the costume rack and he noticed he needed to dress up as a famous magical person? Huh...he did not see that coming. He got up from his seat and went to check it out. He scanned through the items and wondered who he could be. He saw an awesome robe and a fake locket. He decided to dress up as Salazar Slytherin. "Hello Colt." Helena waved to the snake boy as he found a seat with a scarf around his neck against the cold air in the classroom. "Did you know that Salazar Slytherin knew how to speak the tongue of snakes?" Her eyes caught a basket full of plastic plant. Nice! She could pretend its a gillyweed. Mow she's ready. "Hello, Professor." She greeted the Professor with a polite nod before she took a seat. "Hello Candice. Gillyweed is a brilliant plant don't you think? Have you ever tried swimming under water by using it?" It was so nifty as Professor Myers could probably agree Helena thought that plants could have more properties than just being plants. Quote:

His studies of his idol assured him that he should hold himself stiff, but still welcoming. This was a good task for his acting skills. Continuing them whilst at Hogwarts was always an important thing for him. Next to arrive was Rooney that sported a stubble on his chin that made Helena giggle just a little as she greeted him. "Hello Rooney, aren't you a little young to start growing a beard? Did you know that Minister Leonard Spencer-Moon began his time in the ministry as a teaboy?"

Even though she was standing outside the classroom, Paulina could still feel the chilliness as she scrounged around for a costume to wear. She was going to be Phyllida Spore, the famous witch who had written One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi. Paulina wished she could be half as great a Herbologist as her idol.
Grabbing a grey wig she placed it on her head. Now she needed some green robes because plants... She'd put them on top of the ones she was already wearing and maybe that would help to further insulate her from the cold. Once that was sorted, Paulina put on some blush and pink lipstick. She didn't usually wear makeup, but figured that was something that a lot of women did - even in the 14th century. Lastly she added a book that she found. That could be an accessory as the Herbology textbook or something. Sadly she didn't have hers on her to use, but whatever. "Hello, Professor," Paulina said as she stepped inside the classroom. QUOTE] "Hello Paulina," Helena greeted with a smile. "Ah, Phyllida Spore. Are you perchance looking to start a career in the herbology field after Hogwarts?" It was a valid question since the girl was in her last year of magical education. Quote:

Though it was too much effort to dress up as him.
But it was worth it. "Hello, Grey......Professor" "Hello Dante," Helena said with a nod to the snake boy. "You can still call me the Grey Lady if you prefer that?" Peering at his costume she noted. "The great Merlin was a Slytherin like yourself. It had lapsed my mind." Quote:

"Albus Dumbledore was a great man that was famous for many things like the 12 uses of dragon blood. I hope you can discover something equally great when you leave her eventually." Quote:

At least, that was what she had read.
Evie waltzed into class, feeling a little strange but rather confident. "Hello, Professor," she said, greeting the Grey Lady. It was a bit odd calling her professor, but that was her new title... "Hello Evangeline." Helena said in greeting to eagle that just walked in. "I take it that you dream of a career in professional qudditch just like Angelina Johnson-Weasley?" It was the obvious assumption given the choice of costume. Quote:

She was so not going to act like the best Professor McGongall, but she sure would look it. "Hello Noelle," Helena said, returning the curt nod with some elegance. "With many years of practice you might be able to conjure up a cat patronus just as strong and real looking as the great Minerva could in her day." Given that Noelle had an apt for casting spells that is. Quote:

Dot plunked into a seat and dared anyone to talk to her, in proper Jones style. "Afternoon Dot," Helena greeted the snakette. "Lovely choice of costume. I hope you'll become as strong a feminist as Gwenog Jones was in her day. I take it that your dream job is in Qudditch?" Quote:

'Cause the Head Boy had never really been around the Ravenclaw table all that much in the past... So man, that meant he had to try extra hard to get into her good books. Clearly the ghost would be biased, he was sure.
The Gryffindor awkwardly lingered near the desk for a few long moments before realizing he actually couldn't think of anything more to add. Ahem. Gonna go find a seat now, thanks. Sorry. Uh. Yeah. "Hello Zander," Helena greeted the head boy with a smile. "Harry Potter was unlike yourself one of those students in his time at Hogwarts who everyone thought would get prefected but never got chosen. He had a big impact on history though and not just Hogwarts history. I hope the scar in your face isn't permanent?" Quote:

The props which were promptly set down onto her chosen desk, in a grouping with Hady near the middle. "Afternoon Brooklyn," Helena greeted with a nod in the snakette's direction. It took some time before she understood who the fourth year had dressed up. "Have you used moondew in your potion brewing? Or has Professor Flamsteed spoken of it?" Quote:

"Good Day Professor!" Angel smiled as she went and found a seat, she couldn't wait to see what they were doing today. "Hello Angel," Helena greeted with a nod to the lioness. "Have you stayed at the Leaky Cauldron that Daisy Dodderidge built and was the landlady of until her death at the age of 88 years? Building a gateway between the muggle and magical world was one of the best inventions of all time." Quote:

Alastor Moody, yes. "Ello professor," he greeted her before finding himself a seat. After the last lioness yet another badger walked in dressed up as Alastor Moody no doubt. "Hello Noel," Helena greeted with a smile. "Do you think you'll want to work as an auror like Moody someday?" Quote:

Now largely ignoring everyone else in the room, he set his jellyfish hat on his desk and got out his History of Magic textbook to look over before they got started. "Hello Daxton." Helena greeted with a nod to the usually silent boy. Hopefully he hadn't brought along a pet augrey like the man he was portraying was known for owning.
When the last student took their seat Helena rose from her sitting position on the desk to a floating position a few inches over the floor in front of it as she addressed the class in voice that was loud enough to be heard in the back but not too loud. "Welcome back everyone to a new lesson in history. I firstly want to extend my thanks to all of you for dressing up as your favourite magical person from history for the class. I know that not everyone is fond of dressing up and some even find it silly, and because of that I'm awarding 10 house points to each of the four houses." They had all made an effort and Helena endorsed that. "Now, let's talk about history for a moment before we move on to our main topic for today's lesson. Why do you think its obligatory to study history during your magical education?" Letting her grey eyes wander over the many costumes Helena asked " Does the famous people you have dressed up today as make it easier to remember what has happened throughout history or do you think/feel that so much has happened in history that it's hard to remember regardless of the famous people?" OOC: Class has officially started. Feel free to be creative with your characters answers. Please don't post arriving late and instead play as if you've been there all along.
