He came to a halt a good twenty feet short of the statue of Boris the Bewildered, and turned back to face his Slytherin 'partner', while flipping the card over in his hands and finally reading the prompts listed.
And immediately feeling even more disgusted by the whole affair. This was ridiculous, and for once, Daxton's face said as much. With a wholly unimpressed expression etched on his features, the Ravenclaw thrust out the card for the other boy to take, and so that he would go first. Ridiculous. The was ridiculous. Daxton LEFT. Just LEFT. And all Phillip could do was follow behind him like some sort of puppy. "Wait!" Where was he GOING?! Because Phillip didn't like blindly following someone like this. He could be leading him to a death trap, for all he knew.
Oh. And then he stopped.
The Slytherin came to a stop as well and took a moment to look around. This? THIS was where he had decided to take them to? Uh. It wasn't EXCITING, HELLO?! The disappointment was clear on his face but he took the card thrown at him anyways. They might as well get started and all. And if he was going to have to take the lead, then so be it. But he wanted to know MORE about this silent kid standing opposite him.
The first question? '1) Share something personal with your partner.'
..................... Uh.....................
Personal? PERSONAL?! Phillip paused. What was he meant to share? Family issues? The deal with his parents? Something he regretted? Because all of THAT counted as personal things and the first year just wasn't comfortable enough to share any of that, especially not with someone he hardly knew. MER-LIN this was hard. "My dad died last year so I didn't get to tell him about coming to Hogwarts," he said in the tiniest of whispers, half hoping that the Ravenclaw didn't hear him but the question would still be erased from the card. Cue an uncomfortable shuffling.
....................... "But don't you D A R E tell anyone. I mean it."
Okay, it was Daxton's turn. Go.
