*~History~*

Born in Tokyo, Japan in his parents bedroom, Kenji Hirase was the name given to him by his parents. They lived in a nice appartment which looked normal on the outside but because they were a pureblooded family, the inside was of course decorated with magic. The small looking appartment was big on the inside, so big that Kenji could fly a kids broom in the living room. They were a happy family with minor problems. When Kenji was born, the first thing that stood out was that he had neither of his parents eyes. He had two different eyes and a muggle doctor who had been a family friend of theirs had told them that Kenji was born with Heterochromia. Which meant that he has two different eye colors. His left one is hazel while is right one is dark brown. The difference wasn’t very noticable in the beginning but as he grew up it would change.

Because his father had been offered a job in England, the Hirase family left Japan to live in London, England when Kenji was only 2 years old. Because he was so young when they moved, his parents had decided to hire a private tutor to teach him English. They even changed his name unofficially to Kevin to make things easier.

Kenji…or Kevin as he is called now was the target of the neighbourhood kids bullying. They had found his eyes weird and laughed at him whenever they saw him. Making rude comments. Soon, it got out of hand and when he was pushed around by other kids from his age he showed his first magic. It was powerful and he had not meant to do it. One minute they were pushing him back and forth in the middle of a circle they had made, the next they all fell down because of a sudden energy wave. The bullies got scared and ran home , crying for their mothers. At this point, Kevin thought he was finally done with being a target…that he was cool now. But it was the complete opposite that happened.

From being the “weird eyed kid” Kevin Hirase had turned in to “The Freak” of the neighbourhood. And if he had to be honest, he hated magic. He just wanted to have friends and live a normal life.

One day when Kevin was 10, he came home from a fight that he had had on the playground at the park. His face was covered in mud and dried tears stuck to his cheeks. His pants was torn by the knee from where he had fallen. His mother, the loving person she is, rushed to his side to comfort him and asked what had happened. His father entered the room as well but he only folded his arms and looked at the boy almost judgingly. Kevin confessed to them that he was being bullied by the other kids in the neighbourhood because of his weird looking eyes and that they kept calling him a freak after they saw him doing magic by accident. He told them how much he hated having two different colored eyes and he even begged his parents if they could change the color.

His mother had already drawn her wand, ready to help her son out but his father stopped her. He said that he had heard different stories from the locals about Kevin. How he was a prankster and liked to steal gum from the store. All of this was true. It was a way of wanted to be “cool” like the other kids. But when his own father doubted his story and believed the parents of the bullies over his own son, Kevin snapped.

The father-son bond had broken and Kevin refused to talk to his father for over half a year. Slowly, his anger subsided and he and his father began to talk again but there was a tension between them.

So when he was eleven, the soon to be Gryffindor was sad that he had to leave his mother who did believe him but was glad to be away from his father who, although acted normal around him, Kevin had trouble trusting.

*~Personality~*
Kevin is a typical Gryffindor. Brave and Rude. He likes to be in the center of attention but hates having to get along with others. He’s a loner and would rather be doing pranks than do his homework. Though when something interests him, the boy is driven to work to accomplish his goal. Although he is rude and mean, Kevin never means to harm anyone and his pranks are usually out of pure boredom. He doesn’t have any friends and has to have something to do around the school right?
