Personality: In general, Rhiannon appears rather shy and quiet, not instigating conversations with people, although she is always friendly. But once she gets to know someone, she shows her other side; feisty, smart, artistic, understanding . . . She is extremely loyal to her family and friends with a hidden temper.
History: Rhiannon was born the daughter of a fairly well off pureblood couple. Her parents had met while attending Hogwarts, getting married soon after graduation and settling in her mother's home country of Wales, unaware of the enemies they had inadvertently made. Deirdre's best friend at Hogwarts was Desiree Silver, and after they had all gone off their own ways, she had kept in touch, letting her friend know about her distrust of the man she had married, Donovan Moonson. And, the December after Rhiannon turned four, her parents were attacked over a piece of jewelry that Deirdre had been given by Desiree for safekeeping, and murdered with the use of magic while little Rhiannon hid in her bedroom closet.

After the attack was discovered, Rhiannon was sent to America to live with her mother's sister, Charlotte Andrews, and her family. And this was the catalyst for Rhiannon's shyness, since children can be cruel and once the other students at the school she ended up attending found out about the story behind the new little foreign girl, she was called a freak and ostracized in fear of people around her dying. Sadly, her young mind had blocked out much of her memories of the attack, leaving her to believe the official story that her parents had died in a fire. Her only friend was her cousin Jonathan, a year older than her, and then his circle of friends. Jonathan was her champion, defending her against everyone and training her in the art of wizard dueling as well as general spellwork and Quidditch. And, since she was often by herself when her cousins were busy, she also developed the skill for drawing and painting which would become highly important to her.

After she turned sixteen, her aunt managed to obtain permission for her to attend Hogwarts, since it was where both her and her sister had gone as children, and Rhiannon was sent back across the Atlantic on her own. Starting off quite lost on what to do once she got there, she luckily met Amelia Rose in Florean Fortescue's the summer before she was to start at Hogwarts as a sixth year, and through the Hufflepuff prefect was introduced to several others. On the train to school, she also met Josh Moonson, which started her on a long and twisted saga that would play out over her terms at Hogwarts. Neither one was aware of the connection between their families, and she found she could talk to the Slytherin boy. And it was to him that she first showed her love for dueling and spellwork, for which he gave her the nickname of "Confundus Queen."

They stayed close, while Mia went off with everyone else often, for which Rhiannon was constantly told by Josh that she shouldn't consider the redheaded Huffie her best friend. But she stuck by the other girl, even after Mia was made Quidditch captain for her house team their seventh and final year in school, cementing their athletic rivalry since Rhiannon played chaser on the Ravenclaw team. The relationship with Josh was different though. She invited him to be her guest at Jonathan's wedding the summer before their last year of school, which was a good idea since at the reception she was dragged off by Jonathan's best man, who was keeper for the professional Quidditch team Jonathan had been recruited for, and Josh came to her rescue. Cementing the faint crush she had on him, which came to a head the October after they'd gone back to school. Since she had depended on Josh to keep her from her occasional depressed moods, which had been more frequent since she finally had remembered what had happened to her parents between terms, the separation of Hogwarts into girls' and boys' schools hit her hard, and she had looked forward to trips to Hogsmeade since that was the only place she could see Josh. And in October they snuck away from Hogwarts for a weekend via a Hogsmeade trip, and he revealed he had feelings for her as well. They decided to try having a relationship, which only made going back to the separated Hogwarts more difficult for Rhiannon. But she found ways to see Josh, mostly on Hogsmeade trips, but also by spending the holidays with him. Which made her aware of a whole other side to his life, although she promised him she'd stick with him even with all the chaos and violence.

After Hogwarts, she chose to move to her parents' home, also her childhood home, in Wales, as opposed to returning to California and her aunt and uncle. She had inherited the house upon her seventeenth birthday, as well as her parents' fairly sizable estate. So she set out on her own, semi-newly wealthy and able to pursue a career in the arts. Continuing to be there for Josh, she also frequented his brother and sister-in-law's home in London, as well as occasionally got to visit his home in France, where they held a Halloween party for many of their friends and family that October. Things went fairly well until around December, when Josh found evidence of their familial connection, namely a photograph of Desiree and Deirdre together, and immediately snapped, accusing Rhiannon's mother of being responsible for his mother's death,which, considering Rhiannon was the only remaining member of her family, meant he fought with her, abandoning her at the house in London and leaving her an emotional wreck.

It took her a while to recover, during which she threw herself wholly into her art, working from a studio she set up in her home in Wales. But eventually she did, maybe not quite to the point of completely forgiving Josh, but at least she was able to think about everything calmly. Until, around her 19th birthday, she was attacked by Josh's father in the forest behind her house, as he demanded a necklace she knew nothing about. She held him off for a while, but he got the upper hand and almost killed her, although someone rescued her. She doesn't really know what went on, since she lost consciousness around the time of the rescue, but she survived. And after a long recovery time, she managed to get back to her work, keeping in touch with her cousin Elizabeth, who was still attending Hogwarts at the time. She developed a bit of an aversion to being completely alone in her house, though, which led to her idea of inviting Elizabeth to move in with her after her cousin graduated as well. So now she lives in a house with several animals, a house elf who is extraordinarily protective, and her cousin, but only about a year or so after Elizabeth had moved in, she left to live with her fiancé, taking her cat and kneazle with her, and Rhiannon was back on her own. Still with the elf, owl and dog, however after a while she had to replace the latter two as both pets died of old age and she refused to be alone. She has continued creating her artwork the whole time, having the occasional show on top of doing commissioned pieces, and after some convincing on the part of Elizabeth, she decided to try and open an art gallery in a building in Diagon Alley, moving her studio there as well to get some peace and quiet away from the household.
