Attitude. Alice tends to be a young woman of few words and when she does speak, she tends to be direct and to the point. It is not uncommon for her to hurt others feelings with her blunt demeanor, though it may not always be intentional. Alice is the adoptive daughter of Jane and Clayton Whitehall, members of a well to do wizarding family in Britain. She is the youngest of five and only adopted child of the Whitehall family.

Being raised prim, proper, and magical she has had little need or reason to interact with muggles. Though that isn't the reason for her disdain about muggle studies. She was found abandoned on the doorstep of a muggle orphanage at the age of three and is believed to be muggleborn though it is not known. Why she was abandoned is unknown, but she has her own beliefs about the reason and carries a chip on her shoulder from it.
