Pull a Prank: Seventh Year Edition by Natalia Woolf
Unlike most of you underclassmen, Seventh Year students get to enjoy their last year of wizarding education before moving on to their respective careers. What would be a better celebration of the achievement than a Seventh Year Prank?
What is Seventh Year Prank, you ask?
In muggle schools around the world, students in their final year of “high school” (the last stage of muggle mandatory education), called “seniors”, would come up with a “Senior Prank”. This event consists of the entire senior student body participating in a creative, school-wide prank - usually to the annoyance of the teachers and caretakers - on the last day of school. Popular pranks include filling the hallways with muggle balloons (and usually popping them later in obnoxious manners), turning the chairs in all the classrooms upside down, applying jelly to handrails and doorknobs, and so on.
Even if the professors at Hogwarts refuse to approve of this ingenious event, Seventh Year students do not have to fret! Who cares if they toss you in detention? You'll be on a train to London by the time they realize that you’ve replaced their usual mugs with nose-biting teacups! Possible Suggestions for a Seventh Year Prank:- replace ordinary cups with nose-biting teacups
- wear Headless Hats everywhere you go
- place Creepy Crawlies on randomly-selected chairs
- offer (generously) Self-Propelling Custard Pie to an unfortunate soul
- butter someone’s bread with Canary Cream (and watch them chirp in anger)
- shake everyone’s hands while wearing Electric Shock Shake
Of course, safety should be considered before pulling a Seventh Year Prank. Keep in mind that these pranks, although entertaining, should stay moderately friendly.
Don’t be afraid to try something new! You’re only going to be a kid once. |
