If the professor said it wasn't, then it definitely wasn't! "How can I fix it?" he asked peering down into his cauldron again. Where was mum? She'd tell him right? Pleeeease no starting over!! He was really scared, wasn't he? Cosgrach observed his potion some more, and said "No, all you have to do is stirring quickly counter clockwise for 30 seconds, and only 30 seconds." It didn't sound too hard, did it? Quote:

He... didn't know, but raised his hand anyway, and answered the question with another question. "Sir, would the antidote need to be specially brewed? Like... because the ingredients are different for each emotion, so maybe you even take the base, and work from that to make, like... an Emotional Change-BACK Potion, specific to the one that you're getting the antidote for?" It seemed less likely the more he spoke. "Or perhaps some sort of... regular mood stabilising potion?" Quote:

Since that makes a sadness potion, maybe that could cure a person of their happiness." Well, it was a thought anyway. Quote:

Not necessarily the anti of it or an opposite - just more a stabilizer? I mean, the bulk of the potion is the same with that base, but with the one ingredient difference to differentiate the emotions..." she brushed a thoughtful hand through her hair, "I'd be interested in seeing if one general antidote intended just to stabilize the mind and body back to a neutral state... would be as effective for countering the affects of each potion as well as an antidote made specifically for a potion would, y'know?" Zhenya raised her hand, "Sir would there have to be different antidotes to all of the potions?" She was sure that was an obvious answer, but perhaps it was just one antidote. "Could you try to give them the opposite potion of what they had used to counteract the effect? For example if someone is given a sadness potion, could you give them a happiness one to neutralise the effect of the sadness one?" She realised, too late, that she was answering his question with more questions, but somewhere in there was her suggestion. Quote:

"But from the same base so that they'd be the same strength cause some people's bases might be stronger than others?" She didn't know if that was true, but she thought maybe her potion wouldn't work well with another person's antidote because they had slightly different ingredients in the base... right?
....
Okay the vanishing the potion thing? She didn't know how to do that. She watched a few of the other students, then picked up her wand and... "Evanesco." She tried to mimic the wand movement that other people were doing, but she'd never tried this spell before, so she wasn't really sure about it, and nothing happened. "Um... can someone help me?" She didn't mind asking for help at all, she just didn't want to disturb anyone who was still taking samples. Quote:

He decided to address the wrong ones first and explain why they were wrong. However, before all, he quickly vanished Rowan and Marsha's cauldrons. "It's not tea, Zahra," he said, "because tea usually isn't magical. And if it is, it's usually not called tea." So, tea helped with some things, but not with a potion. "A common antidote and Mandrakes wouldn't work, Jackson and MArsha," he said as he turned to the boy, then the girl, "because this isn't a poison. We only want to reverse it, because it's a nuisance - especially the negative emotions." Were they satisfied? "All of the people who suggested some sort of opposition potions: the six emotions this one creates doesn't exactly match as opposites, except for happiness and sadness. Besides, like Rowan said, if you use two different bases, it might confuse a person and tire them before the stronger potion wins the fight. And the people who suggested different potions for every emotion - please note that the base for all is the same." Which brought them to what Sophie had suggested, and he smiled at her. Only she guessed it right, if he didn't miss any other answer. "The base, if you analyse it closely, makes a person open to any emotion, then we add the determining ingredients. So, with that in mind, we'd need one antidote that lifts the effect of an emotion, which would be... the base itself, again." Plot twist! "The base is the antidote." That was the reason they got a vial of it. "The base lifts the effect of the potion, so the person goes back to feeling whatever they were feeling before consumption. However, if a normal person drinks it, it makes them feel completely neutral - or empty, as some might call it - and therefore confused." EXCITING, wasn't it? HEHEHE.
He checked his watch. "All of the potions must have matured by now..." he muttered, sat down on his chair and tapped the blackboard with his wand to reveal the final notes. Quote:

- The duration of the potion depends on the brewer, but it's usually between 5 to 10 hours.

Zahra mixed the excitement AND tenderness. She probably needed to TENDERIZE her EXCITEMENT anyway. La la la.[/B] - in the blink of an eye, Zahra's potion PUFFED like a mushroom cloud. Apparently, it had to mature a little too. THAT was what she got for both. Cosgrach rose to his feet, with wand in hand. He couldn't see if she got it on her face because of the smoke yet, but if she did, it would be a funny sight: a completely black face with hair standing on end for a full day (however, maybe it might not be a good sight for the daughter of the FORMER minister. It wasn't exactly dangerous - except for making the skin black and the hairs stand on end - but he still wanted to vanish - Quote:

The potion EXPLODED! right after the girl's mushroom cloud. It melted down the materials it got on A LITTLE and it'd cause harmless, painless rash on the skin if anyone was hit... Cosgrach had already got up to Zahra's potion, but upon the second EXPLOSION, he forgot all about her and walked at light speed until a safe distance with his wand already in his hand. LUCKILY for him, his desk was too far from the cauldron to be hit. The next moment, the potion was vanished before it could cause more damage.
If looks could kill, Dante would have been dead now. "People hit with it, don't worry. The rash will heal in a week without a damage. Just keep it clean," he said, loud enough for everyone to hear. His eyes were still on Dante, however.
He would explain, wouldn't he? OOC: Thank you for coming, I hope you enjoyed it! You have exactly 15 hours from this post to finish brewing. I won't lock the thread immediately after, but I won't grade the posts.
