“Pick a partner and practice the steps to the dance choreography,” their muggle studies professor said cheerfully.

Gary, playing the gentlemanly part, stood up and presented his hand to Zhenya. Giggling, though quite nervous, she took it, letting him spin her around.

His hand felt warm against the small of her back, his big warm hand encasing hers. She was trying so hard to remember the choreography but kept stepping on Gary’s feet.

“Let me lead,” he laughed.

Before she knew it, he dipped her.

“You didn’t drop me,” she whispered.
“I’d never drop a falling star,” he whispered back.
