...Zahra had DONE that before? Cosgrach eyed the girl, raised his eyebrows in confusion but didn't say anything. Okay. He'd add this to the list, because it WAS correct. Just... on the weird side.

She shook her head slightly. Would he have noticed her green hair? she grinned.
Cosgrach DID notice her hair and gaped at it. Then he grinned back. "Nice hair," he said to the girl. It was pretty indeed, especially the colour. He wondered how she got it. Was it a magical dye?

...hairy ones? In the woods?

......

Was it that little Dot wandered into the Forbidden Forest and was traumatised for life? DID SHE SEE WEREWOLVES THERE? WAS SHE BITTEN? Was this all a hidden message to say all these - okay, no, it couldn't be. Cosgrach was certainly assuming too much. But WHAT IF?

He had to be sure for everyone's safety.

"Please come to my office after class, Dot," he told the girl, hoping his voice didn't tremble. Should he call aid?

?

Either Cosgrach was slow today, or Kyroh had turned into a Dash Scabior during the time they didn't see each other. Cosgrach couldn't quite make the connection - sure this was a philosophical phrase and all, but still... he added it to the list, just to humour the kid.

Again, the board was updating itself as they spoke.

-Always wear gloves

-Know your own skill level
-If you need a potion that you don't know how to brew properly, get someone who does know to brew it for you or buy it
-No one can mix ingredients aimless, trying to make a new potion
-Add the correct measure of ingredients
-Do not alter potions by adding too much or less of something if not instructed/follow directions EXACTLY and do not add random things to your potion
-Wash your hands before you begin brewing
-Assess the potion ingredients that will be used before brewing to see how to handle them
-Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus (ask Kyroh Scabior)

"So, I believe we can summarise all in a few phrases," he said, and what he said was added beneath their answers, "One: Know your ingredients. Two: Always clean and inspect your equipment before and after each use. Three: Always cure your cauldron after each use. Four: Pay attention to detail and remember safety precautions! Five: Document everything. Six: Follow the instructions strictly unless you are 200% sure you know what you are doing (i.e. have special training and education in potions). Seven: Do not drink a potion you don't know." He paused for the blackboard and them to catch up with him. "Which can also be summarised as the five C's of potions: Color, concentration, care, cleanliness, and content. Now that we know them, I expect all of you to remember these in the future lessons." He eyed them all in a serious manner. He wasn't joking. He did expect them to remember these and hopefully not make mistakes. Maybe he ought to write them on the blackboard... but if he didn't have any students to yell at, what fun did teaching have? Haha.

Not. He'd seriously consider it.

"Our next question is about brewing techniques: What kind of an effect do brewing techniques have? For example, stirring a potion in a clockwise direction is used during some stages of potions for potions that enact a positive change. Can you think of anything else?"

OOC: This is where you can be as crazy and creative as you wish, as long as it is logical in a way.

I owe tribute to XanaSnape and Droo for compiling these safety guidelines.
