Her hand came out of nowhere, making contact with the left side of his face before he could do anything to stop it. Dash stared, ignoring the stinging in his cheek.

All thoughts from the night before vanished. The night where all he had wanted to do was apologize but was informed that apparently he couldn’t do it right.

She had been fine with it.

He had been fine with it.

And maybe then it had seemed like the start of something positive?

“You know…you’re lucky you’re attractive.”

Because there was no other positive thing he could say about her.
