Hogwarts RPG Name: Amelia Adara Graduated Hogwarts RPG Name: Emma Montmorency (#301199) Hufflepuff Fourth Year x12 x8
| YesJess! | Captain Goggles | Mama Badger | Eva's Soul Sister | An OG™ | It's all in the Numbers Josephina stood by the door patiently waiting, resisting the urge to tap her boot on the stone floor. Not that she was impatient, just that the sound was so enticing. SPOILER!!: Greetings! Quote:

As she walked into the room she spotted the professor. "Hello professor." Oh look, they had sombreros and hats. Deciding that she definitely needed to wear BOTH of them, the lion picked up a pair and slid them on. She would have worn them anyways, but they did provide her with more warmth. Who would deny that when they had snow IN the castle.
Of course she was the first one there since she was so early so she plopped down in a random chair at the first time. Food! What were they going to make? Maybe mexican food since they had sombreros? AJ could sure go for a burrito right about now. Oh, fried ice cream. The lion needed to stop before drool formed. And first one to enter was the gryffindor twin ... or she was a triplet actually? Except Josephina had still not met the third of the trio, so for now, in her mind, there was just AJ and Angel. "Afternoon dear! Welcome!" she beamed happily when the girl took one of the hats and donned it. Well at least it wasn't worthless having them there. ooc: by hats we mean sombreros, so you know. there's not both hats and sombreros. we were just translating for those who don't know that sombrero is a hat =] Quote:

"I think I'll have a sombrero,'' Adi said. Did that mean they were making Mexican food? With the sombrero on his head, Adi trudged over to AJ. "AJ. Hello.'' He tipped the sombrero, grinned and dropped into the seat next to her. "What's up?'' And where was Benny? Why was his best friend always one of the last to arrive to classes? One of the first to arrive was one of her favorite Hufflepuffs! Beaming when he said she looked lovely she nodded politely at him. Of course she was looking lovely; castle exercise did wonders for working off the weight gain from her pregnancy. "Hello there Adi! Thank you!" She nodded when he took a sombrero. Quote:

Was there something mystical that was just completely going over her head? Merlin! "....................I did something in a past life, didn't I?" That was her greeting to the Professor with the smile by the door. It was the only explanation for why the Professors had her all over the kitchen this term. If she believed in that hocus pocus mumbo jumbo that Professor Smiles taught, she might have started asking about omens but this was as far as she would dabble into the improbable and impossible.
She looked at the streamer and yes, she did take a sombrero because why not then went to take a seat.
Across from her she spotted Adi and Aubrey. They both got waves before her eyes scanned the kitchen. Good she go find chocolate while they waited? Yes? well that was one explanation for the two lessons she held in the kitchens this year. Or it was simply just - get all the cooking stuff out of the way in one year. Themed years were good, weren't they? And didn't they say they wanted to learn to cook more stuff? "... undoubtedly you probably did." Fina answered simply, even though Alexa's question didn't really require a response. Quote:

Cutty entered the kitchens...again, looking neutral as he tried to make the correlation between the ranchero-vibe and the kitchens. He took a seat beside the Gryffindor prefect and considered the numerical vibrations in their immediate surroundings counting streamers, hats, pots and pans. It actually seemed like a disorganized jumble, even with the chair set up. Well someone just seemed .... to be taking it all in. Smiling briefly at the third year, she was tempted to jam one of the sombreros onto his head but decided against it. Besides, it might break his focus and he seemed very focused. Quote:

Shrugging it off, she waved to Adi and headed over to her seat. "Hello Lux! I'm quite well, thank you!" she beamed at the third year as she happily took the sombrero. Quote:

Nevertheless, the third year carried his supplies with him wondering as he stepped into the familiar room what was up with the decor. "Hello Professor," he greeted Hadley as the other woman did not seem present. A few students were also there including his bestie. No surprise, it wasn't like Adi as a Hufflepuff had to travel much. Taking a hat to try and be in the mood, Benny made his way to the table were the other boy sat with AJ. "Hey..." he greeted them both with a polite nod of the head. "Hello Ben!" Hadley greeted back to the Gryffindor, as he took a seat near Adi. Quote:

Did Grayson have any complaints about this? LOL. NO! Lessons in the kitchens were MUCH better than lessons in classrooms because they were a sign of one thing that lessons in normal classrooms might not have: FOOD. And he had high hopes that this lesson would provide exactly that. Plenty of free food and maybe some hot chocolate.
Oh hey. Hadley. 'Sup. "Hey, Professor!" he said, shooting her a smile before looking over at the--
SOMBREROS. This was like the toga lesson all over again. Who could say no to these bad boys? Certainly not Whitty so, picking one up, he rammed it onto his head. "What do ya think? Looking good?" Yes. You. Hadley. DID he look good? Did he need to pout to add in that extra oomph?
On second thoughts, he wasn't pouting for anybody.
And while he waited for her answer, he was going to go and find a seat, mkay? The Slytherin headed over towards an empty seat at one of the tables and sat down. His blue eyes lingered on the decoration overhead, which reminded him all too much of the Gryffindor and Slytherin house colours. Smirking to himself, Grayson took out his things -- which did include a piece of paper and a pen -- and set them down on the table in front of him. Well then wasn't someone trying to get on her good terms? Not that she hated the Slytherin fourth year, but she needless to say, hadn't been thus far impressed by him and his smirks. But he seemed genuinely polite today. "Hello Grayson," she greeted back, but then what? He asked her how he looked in the sombrero? "You look ... festive," she nodded at him. It was true. Quote:

Making a statement, yeah? And just so everyone knows, he can pull anything off. Mhm. “Hola!” Ethan greeted Professor Hadley with a Spanish salutation, in that funny Mexican accent. Yes, we know, it’s confusing. The boy then turned to the rest of the students who were already there. “Hola, mi amigos!” Really, it’s the sombrero talking. For full effect, Ethan started to dance towards Cutty with imaginary maracas. “Ole!”
Hallo, Cutty. Ah now that was the spirit! "Hola Ethan!" she beamed back at him. So someone was practicing basic greetings in other languages! Excellent! Not that 'hola' or 'mi amigos' were difficult words to know.... Quote:

"Hello Professor", she said. "My, the kitchen looks very festive." Oh, they had sombreros too. Jasmine took one and put it on. She had to get into the spirit, right?
Seeing some of her friends, Jasmine waved to Adi, Lex and Lux. Then she found an empty seat and sat down. She couldn't wait to see what the class was all about. "Hello Jasmine, welcome and thank you! We definitely tried." So mission accomplished, yes? Quote:

Right. Despite the fact that he was clearly very upset about the choice in venue today, Zander walked in forcing a smile upon his face. Hopefully everyone would ignore the fact that the smile was a little too wide and out-of-place looking, but he was out of his element okay!?! This wasn't faaair.
Alright anyways. He walked into the room and saw a pile of the sombreros... Um no thanks. The hat would probably block his view and make burning the kitchen down much easier. So no, he was already terrible enough, didn't need something else making it worse. Right. "Hi Professor.... Uh, where's the other Professor?" Wasn't this supposed to be a joint lesson? Ah someone was observant and brave enough to speak and ask on the whereabouts of the other professor. She could only assume that some of the kids who were fourth years and older, upon not seeing Lolita, probably assumed she was teaching both portions today. But Zander would not remember her as Arithmancy professor, so alas it made sense for him to ask about the other professor. "It seems, Professor Domingo might be running late. But not to worry, she'll be here." Quote:

Well, not really, but that's how she felt. She hated Arithmancy. She hated Muggle Studies. ...and now they were both joined together for a full lesson on the two of them! Yes...she was slowly withering away.
She didn't want a hat. She passed them up but did greet the professor. One of them, at least. Where was Domingo? "Hi, Professor Hadley," she said. Then she ventured further into the classroom and took a seat...
...next to Grayson Whitlock, of course. "Hello there, Sophie," Hadley greeted to the female Newell next. Quote:

She wasn't too bitter about having to leave her warm common room and face the bitter cold of the castle because this lesson wasn't very far away. And hopefully they were cooking, so the ovens would provide a little heat. "Hello professor," she greeted Hadley as she stepped through the door. Hats? Hayden took one and set it on her head. Sweet. "Hayden! Hello! Glad to see you again!" Hadley beamed at the young first year. Quote:

"Hello there, Angel," Fina greeted back to the other half of the Gryffindor duo. "I've been alright thanks." Quote:

The only thing missing is a cowboy hat for your outfit....Hope this sombereo does not mess with my hair."
Nigel said as he greeted Hadley and grabbed a sombero, making his way to a bench? Was there like a Ravenclaw house table, he was suppose to got to. "Hello there, Nigel!" and then Fina just sighed as she took a lasting look at the ravenclaw prefect, when realization slowly began to set in that next year she wouldn't see him here. "Ah good call, but it seems a little one stole my cowboy hat. He looked all too adorable in it too." She couldn't bear to take it from her son. Not with that little expression he was wearing. "... no worries, the sombreros have been charmed to not mess up hairdos." Quote:

And that crazy guy wasn't the professor anymore. Might not be too bad then.
Sombreros though? Interesting. "Hi Professor," she said as she came in and grabbed one of the hats. And another seventh year. Sigh. She was getting too old to deal with this heartbreak. "Hi Penelope! Welcome!" Quote:

Now this would be interesting.
Simon walked into the classroom with the usual casual backpack laxidasically hanging off one shoulder and eyed the rather festive kitchen. Were... Were those sombreros? He eyed them carefully and then turned to greet the Professors. And he only saw Hadley. Huh?!? Where was Domingo? Busy hiding something? He didn't know what to make of her but decided to ignore that thought and smile at Hadley instead. "Hola Professor Hadley! How are you?" he said as he slipped a sombrero onto his head and made his way further into the kitchens. With his sombrero, the only thing he now needed was a nice mustache like the one Luigi had from Super Mario Bros. That would be perfect.
He spotted Sophie sitting next to Grayson. Ooh getting cozy, huh? "Hola señorita and señor," he said, smirking as he walked past them. Oh, ho, ho. Where was Domingo when you needed her to give them both a wink? The boy continued into the room, making his way over to Cutty, Ethan, and Zander. "Hola amigos!" Ah another Spanish speaking slytherin! Excellent! "Hola, Simon! I'm quite well, thank you!" she beamed at him as he joined some of his classmates. Quote:

Hmmm, now where was Professor Domingo? "Hello Layla!" Josephina greeted of the seventh year. Quote:

Oh. Hadley was here first. Well, uh, that was fine, yeah? She still looked fit. So he offered a hello and "You look lovely, Professor." Cue smirk. A gooood looking smirk.
But he didn't bother with the sombrero. He had done his hair. No need to mess that up. Ah there was someone she missed last lesson. Or not. She wasn't sure who's smirking irked her more: Grayson or Ascanius. But Ascanius was graduating so soon she would have to only deal with one snarky Slytherin soon. "Well thank you, Ascanius. right back at you." Yup. Or not. Who could tell with her smile? Quote:

She knows why!
It was because of all the ex tutors she tormented throughout her years. Now all of that bad Karma was coming back and biting her right on her BUM. Ouch. It wasn't that she minded Muggle Studies. She simply didn't like it because she wasn't familiar with the subject. She liked Hadley, though. So she'd push through.
And there were sombreros.
Beverly put on a sombrero.
"Hello, Professor Hadley," she greeted with a small wave and dropped her bag on the floor before taking a seat. Adjusting her sombrero she grinned up at the older woman and waited.
More food? She'd like that. Now why couldn't all Slytherins be like Beverly Wayne? Genuine and polite. Not sarcastic (at least not from what Fina could see) "Hello Beverly," Fina greeted back, offering a grin of her own at the fourth year. Quote:

It didn't take long for her to spot Fina. "Buenos días, mi amiga," she called across the room. Weaving in and out amongst the students, she made her way over to her friend and colleague. "I've been looking forward to our combined fiesta for some time now. Ah, sombreros!" She had just now spotted the festive head gear and summoned one with her wand. "De moda, ¿no?" Just when Fina was about to close the door and start without her friend, Lolita showed up and found her way to her. "Ah! I was worried you've lost your way! Buenos días!" She greeted the Latina cheerfully. "Quite. Though I'm good with just my boots." No sombrero for her. "Shall I?" she glanced towards Lolita but didn't bother waiting for a response before she turned to address the students. They could talk more while the students were working. And she DID have to speak to her. Once everyone had filed in, Josephina waited for them to get settled - get the singing out of their system (Ethan) - or whatever else they were doing before she started. "So its a very festive today and yes we will be enjoying some delicious food soon, but before we do anything with food, we need to go over some history stuff to lead us into the arithmancy portion." Sound good? Good. "The festival we're learning about today is called Cinco de Mayo, which commemorates the Mexican's army unlikely victory over the French army at the Battle of Puebla. It is NOT to be confused with Mexico's Independence day, which takes place in September. The are two main reasons why this battle is significant, which I've already somewhat alluded to one. Any idea what these reasons might be?"
