| Puff by day, snake by night | Mj's bestie | Always UP to Something... She knew her students would just have the best answers and she gave a little snap when she made the cookie into Zhara’s mouth. “Mr. Cutty I’ll see you later today to get started on the Crystal Balls.” She gave him a smile before pointing to the first student that had their hand up. SPOILER!!: Charm/enchantment Quote:

Or touch the piece of paper inside and then wait a couple of seconds for your fortune to generate? Quote:

She set her hand back down and couldn't help but notice how cute the little house elves were. This sure beats tea leaves!
She couldn’t help but beam at Simon, the first to answer and what a great answer it was. Looking to Ethan who agreed and Grayson who brought up charms she gave them all snaps. “Very good, Wizards have used charms on Fortune cookies before, but you have to know which charm and it has to be specific or you will get the wrong information to a person.” Looking to Kace she nodded, “Very good, though the generator I’m not sure. I think it’s more they have just random fortunes and whichever you get you get.” Hazel had a fantastic question and got snaps as well. “That’s exactly what it does. The majority of fortune cookies are vague, which means they could be interpreted in different ways. If I were to say a fortune for this room is you will find obstacles in your path today. Every single person could find one thing that could seem like an obstacle for today, which would make that fortune true.” So vague was better when it came to some of these, yes. Listen to Caleb she nodded, “You are correct, wizards do use the enchantment to go with specific fortunes and wizards getting them.” Way to be thinking, bravo to all of them. SPOILER!!: Random/general Quote:

It seemed like the easiest route for her. Surely her way would involve a charm, but that wouldn't be a true chinese fortune cookie would it? Quote:

"Like if I said in one that you will drive someone mad, well everyone drives someone mad at one point." Angel said truthfully. "Or you could put in the cookie, eventually you will make money." Angel was sure that would work.

The twins seemed to have very close answers and they got snaps as well, “Just as Mr. Kace and Miss Hazel mentioned, they are more random and vague to fit a larger population. Very good thoughts girls.” It was interesting to hear all the different examples. Not a fan of the way muggles did it, though Cassie preferred a more accurate approach. SPOILER!!: astrology Quote:

Professor Cassie and her excitement snaps made Penelope happier. If it wasn't for the professor and her snaps, Penelope would probably be sulking in a corner somewhere. It was almost impossible not to feel happy with Professor Cassie and the excited snapping.
How could fortune cookies be more accurate? Maybe if the fortunes were for your zodiac sign. The professor had mentioned that the would be using zodiac signs today, and had said that the restaurants do not know your astrology signs. Penelope knew what her zodiac sign was. She was a Cancer. "Maybe it would be more accurate if the fortune was for your zodiac sign, and more accurate if it was based off your birth chart?" Quote:

He waved his hand to attract the elf's attention. "Hi. Can I have a refill please?'' He whispered that part, not wanting to disturb the class because of his sweet craving. Quote:

Hearing Penelope, Cassie beamed and then turned towards Adi as he talked about Astrology too, as well as Sophie. “OHMYGOSH! Way to pull last lesson into this one. You are very ready for our activity now aren’t you.” They were smart little nifflers, weren’t they? “Astrology would be a great way to make it more accurate. You could still have the vague to attract a larger population to those signs, but you could make it more personal for an individual person. Their personalities come out with their signs, so if you have an Aries eat an Aries inspired cookie, they are going to find a more relatable fortune.” Wonderful job, just wonderful. SPOILER!!: birth chart Quote:

Raising her hand, she tried to guess at an answer. "Would they be more accurate if they were based off of your birth chart?" Some people had said that using general saying could work, but as far as her understanding went that was what a lot of fortune cookies did anyway. And going off of Zodiac signs was more accurate but still a little up in the air. Birth charts had to be more accurate. Yep, she was going with birth chart.
Not that she REALLY held with that stuff. Hers hadn't been very accurate at all. “Yes Lux, very good. If you know a lot about a person you can certainly make their fortune more accurate. So if you are making the cookies for just a small group you could make their birth charts and find out more about them.” It was a longer way around it, but a great idea all the same. SPOILER!!: Control Quote:

Looking towards Zander she nodded, “If you could hand pick which person got which cookie that would be a great idea. Some people do this, like I’ve seen marriage proposals in the fortune cookies. So designing your own to be very specific is always something that can be done.” It could go for actual fortunes as well. Quote:

I mean 'cause then the paper would have FIRST hand knowledge of what you were made of. YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT and all that. It'd just need some charms or whatnot and junk," so yeah, that was bloody brilliant. Throw this Lioness another cookie, she was ACING some Diviniation. WHO KNEW SHE HAD THE EYE? Haha! She just stopped and blinked at the lady lion a few times. “You certainly think out of the box, don’t you.” Zhara got snaps. The girl was interesting, but she was certainly one to dance to her own beat and Cassie appreciated that. “If there were a charm that could help paper not be fully digested and that anyone would even want to touch it after it had made its way through, then yes that could be a way to be more accurate.” It was a thought, disgusting, but no matter a real thought that Cassie wasn’t going to ignore, but she was going to try and just move on. No one wanted to think of poop in a kitchen. Quote:

"I have Professor." Three words. Now way could one get in trouble for those. …and there was the distraction she needed, Miss Cambridge. She made her way towards the girl, “Good, I’m glad. So if you’d like to share any knowledge about the subject that would be wonderful.” Participation was certainly a part of their grade and sitting quietly not really seeming to pay attention wasn’t a way to earn those participation points.
Turning back to the entire class and making her way to the main counter she gave a few more snaps of encouragement. “Wonderful answers all of them. I am just sooo impressed on how much you all know already. It’s a wonderful thing to come in and hear you all jump to answer questions.” With that being said she pulled her own little stack of parchment cards towards her. “Everyone had the greatest ideas, but the ones that said about Astrology were right on for what we are going to look at today. Now we talked and learned about Astrology last class, so I’m not going into any details this time with that.” She pointed to the Zodiac chart again, “What I want to really focus on is this chart. Mostly muggles, but some wizards enjoy horoscopes, myself included. They are fun ways to see predictions into your present and future. They are usually vague like I spoke about before and can be interrupted in many different ways.” The example of an obstacle hopefully was still in their minds.
She sorted out the card on the table in alphabetical order; Aquarius, Aries, Capricorn, Cancer, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Pisces, Sagittarius, Scorpio, Taurus, and Virgo. “Now we are going to be making fortune cookies today, but first before we even think about making the actual cookie, we will have to make the fortune. So what I’d like you to do is look at the horoscopes that I have come up with using Astrology charts. Pick three different Zodiac signs and make three different fortunes based on the horoscope.” Did that make sense? Well she was going to give an example if it didn’t. “So I’m going to pick up Leo and read the horoscope.” She carefully read the horoscope over and smiled, “This one is perfect, see here how it says you could be a giant wrecking ball that’s anxious to break down existing walls. Well that could be anyone of us. Show of hands, who is tired of being stuck in this castle and would love to break down the walls to get outside?” See how easy a horoscope can be true she thought to herself. “On my parchment I might write, Adventure can be found anywhere. Look around and don’t be afraid to find some. This way they could interpret it as finding something fun today in the castle not just focusing the energy on breaking the wall down.” “Take about ten minutes to make three fortunes. Share the cards that I laid on each table. It doesn’t matter which three Zodiac signs you use, just please try to make the fortune based off what you read in the horoscope. Don’t just make up silly and not relatable things.” She started walking around the room in case there were any questions. Ooc: In two posts have our charries pick three different zodiac signs and write three different fortunes (1 for each sign) I’m going to move the lesson on tomorrow evening EST. If you don’t get the two post in by then don’t freak you can still post, I just want to keep the lesson moving smoothly and timely!
