19. Jelly Legs

Simon checked his reflection in the mirror. He had opted for a plain dark blue woolen sweater and jeans. Was that acceptable for hanging out with a very pretty girl? Simon pursed his lips. He didn't know. Glancing about the room, he looked for Ethan or Cutty but couldn't find either one of them. He'd have to make this decision by himself. He didn't want to make it as he was very nervous. "I've got this," he told himself, taking a deep breath in and out. He could do this. Grabbing his coat, Simon headed out the door and up the numerous amount of stairs to the seventh floor.

After making his way to the bronze knocker, Simon paced back and forth a little bit before deciding to lean against the wall and just wait. He was becoming more and more nervous. Why had I been so stupid to send that owl to ask her out? he chided himself.

His fears disappeared when she arrived. He smiled, hoping that they wouldn't cave in as if someone had used the jelly legs curse on him.

"Hi Simon!" she called out to him smiling.

Simon beamed. "Hey CB!"
