mini challenge twelve - We All Scream for Ice Cream!

Simon really wanted an ice cream.

If only he were allowed to use his magic to make his favourite mint flavour appear in front of him. He frowned as he gazed out the window longingly. It seemed as if his sister shared his want for ice cream for she began chanting,"I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!" She nudged Simon playfully with her shoulder, giving him a wink as if she was promising that he'd get him ice cream too. Simon chuckled silently as he knew what their father's response would be.

"Allie, you had ice cream only a couple of days ago, said their father.

"Daddy, Simon didn't get any ice cream and it would be fair if we gave him some too!" She turned and gave her brother a maniacal grin. Simon shook his head and gazed out the window.

Their father turned around to gaze at them, "Simon, do you really want ice cream?"

"Yes, please. As the future lawyer said, ice cream would be fair."

Their father grinned. He was an easily persuaded man. "Fine, let's go!"

The two siblings high-fived and basked in their victory.
