The winds began to howl and rattle the windows to the classroom. What windows were open were suddenly SLAMMED shut and students standing too close found their cheeks burning from icy cuts caused by the wind.

The balloons trashed about violently and began deflating. A thin layer of ice crept across the surface of the balloons and the device attached, sending ALL OF THEM plummeting into the freezing white abyss below.
