50. Waddiwasi

Being snowed in the castle was making the boys go crazy. The common rooms were packed with all the students and there was barely an available quiet space for them to relax. And Peeves had been up to no good as usual. Fortunately, the library was still a quiet sanctuary. Simon and his Lion friend were in the library, searching through textbooks and manuals. While Simon was looking through various textbooks, Zander was working on his arithmancy homework.

“Hmmm,” muttered Simon as he scratched his chin and flicked through several pages of the book.

“What are you looking at?” asked Zander who was now standing beside Simon, peering at the book.

He pointed at the specific section he was reading. “Waddiwasi. It’s the incantation of a charm that can be used to shoot whatever the caster wants at a target or a victim.”

A silly smile appeared on Zander’s lips. Simon raised an eyebrow, wondering what his friend was thinking. “Do you think we could use that on Peeves?” asked Zander.

Simon smirked. “I don’t think that the Professors would put us in detention for it.” It’d be fun to cause a little bit of mischief every now and then.
