Though, Grayson was glad that he didn't have to trudge outside to get to this particular lesson. He didn't want to battle so much snow. Do you know how tiring that was? Jeez. It was a good thing that there had been the prospect of flesh-eating plants, even if one only ate freaking fairies. Nothing exciting about that.
Stepping into the room and taking a glance around it still made him feel strange. He walked a little slowly, taking a moment to look carefully at all the plants there. At least the place looked like a Herbology classroom. There was that. And the plants looked okay too. Probably a little better here, actually. Funny. He wouldn't have expected that.
Sooooo Bentley was here. "Hello Professor!" he said, coming to a stop giving her a nod and a small smile. Pulling out his gloves, Grayson strapped them on, making sure to wiggle his fingers as he did so. There. He was ready for whatever interesting activity was planned for this lesson.
And what were in those boxes, eh?

But um yes, anyways. Zander did hear her, but he could not look up at her again. THE HORROR. So instead still staring at the boxes in front of him, he just nodded his head. "Mhhhm!" Ugh. This would definitely be a long lesson.
AHHH. He was trying not to talk here people??? Can't YOU see that!? AAHH. This pledge of silence was not going as planned. Merlin. Looking up from the boxes, Zander noticed Lux giving him a worried look. "Yeah..." THE FLUTTERIES WERE GOING PRETTY HARD. "Just not feeling... my best... yeah.... my best."

Grabbing his gloves out of his bag, Zander struggled to put them on. It was really hard trying to focus. Especially knowing that he was going to have to sit through a whole lesson listening to Beautiful Bentley instructing him. And asking questions. And expecting answers. It was all just way too much.
It was much easier get past his feelings when he didn't know that he needed to get rid of them. But ever since his talk with Lux, trying to unlike Professor Bentley was becoming quite the challenge. It was probably because he was thinking about her so much lately, for the purposes of NOT thinking about her. So really, it was all just the opposite of what he needed and all of this was so confusing. Wait-- Adi? Was the boy trying to talk to him? Because now was NOT the time. No. "Hi... Hi, yeah nothing much, ha..."
Merlin. Save. Him. Please.

There was something off about this boy. She did overhear something about him not feeling his best - not that she was eavesdropped... they were in a room, together, she couldn't help but overhear. Maybe she'd make him some tea after class to settle his stomach... or whatever.
But alas... it was time for class to get underway. "Good morning everyone, and thank you for coming to our second Herbology Lesson of the term." She took a brief pause in which she adjusted the glove fit on two of her fingers. Snug as a bug they were. "As you can see, the plants are settling into their temporary location quite well, though I'm sure they'd appreciate a little more TLC in the coming weeks..." to which they were all welcome to assist with. "Today we will be reviewing growth charms and looking at practicing Bonsai... but before we start the review, could I get you each to select one seed from one of the boxes on the table please. There are three varieties. You may select from an Alder tree - the first box, Blackthorn tree - the second, or an Enchanting Elm - in the last." Yes... there was one flesh eater option, should they wish to be a little adventurous, a little daring... but not really. "Select a seed, then get ready to take some notes from the board," she instructed, turning her back to them to write their heading up on the blackboard. Quote:
