“Hey Mum, do you think you can get me a new pair of Dragonhide Gloves?” Dax asked, entering the kitchen and leaning against the counter next to his mother. It hadn’t been that long since she’d gotten him his last pair but when you had a crup, you stopped questioning things.
“I got you one at the start of the year, how hard are they working you?”
“It wasn’t school, just Manson.” He said with a casual shrug, trying to play it off.
“How did…—”
“I could tell you but then you’d have questions about your new shoes too.”
