Cosgrach brought two buckets full of water from the store room while they were grating, and placed them in front of the blackboard. Ugh. He had to remember to bring everything out before the classes.

"A direct, life-long ticket to Azkaban," Cosgrach said simply to Adi, to make sure boy understood it was a terrible spell.

(...)A quick glance around the room confirmed her assumption, and she set herself to the task of grating half of it. Up, down, up, down. The methodical task was oddly soothing, considering she was in the process of pulverizing a solid object, and paired with the calm blue of the walls and the cushion of her chair Norah found her eyelids growing heavy. Wait. Being tired would definitely result in something blowing up She shook her head slightly and focused on the unicorn horn as more of it disappeared into her bowl. She was NOT going to blow anything up, thank you very much.
"Noah Kittredge, got it." He smiled at the girl and hoped he wouldn't forget the name.

...but - but she RUINED one WHOLE horn! And he thought she was a sweet little girl -

"Tell me you've grated only half of the horn." Even though he knew the hard truth.

Cosgrach sighed. Kyroh was still so innocent, and he didn't want to be one of the people to prepare him for the wild world, but... since he'd asked...

"Because they strongly thought what they believed was correct, and they felt the need to show it." Stupid, stupid. "They thought they were saving these 'non-believers'." And more stupid.

Sigh.

OOOOOHOHOHOH!

Did Kevin got it wrong? HAHAHA!

Cosgrach, VERY pleased with himself, sloooowly walked up to the kid with a dirty, dirty smirk.

"Bicorn, really?" Tut tut. "Looks to me you're too blind with arrogance." How he wished this was the last step of brewing, so that he could vanish ALL his cauldron! But still, he vanished the bicorn horn. Better than nothing.

Next she took out all the equipment she needed and made sure that was all clean before grating half a unicorn horn.
"It doesn't look dirty," he said to the girl as he was passing by her work station, "but you never know. So." Drawing his wand, he cast the cleaning spell for her this time and smiled. "Always clean it before and after brewing." Yeah?

So far, so good. Cosgrach didn't dare get hopeful that the class would be well, but he was pleased.

"Second step is, heating the cauldron without adding anything at medium heat for a minute. Then we add three water glasses of purified water." He eyed them all. Could they do it? "These buckets have purified water." For those who couldn't produce it.

He tapped his wand on the blackboard once for the steps to appear, and then walked to Sophie Newell's working station again.

Once her cauldron was heating, he approached her in no time since she was sitting in front.

"So the reason I gave a potion to you is," he said, talking in a normal tone, so anyone near could hear, "because you're a great student, and I wanted to show my appreciation. It is a vial of Baruffio's Brain Elixir. It increases your brain power. I know you're very ambitious and stuff," he smiled, "so I figured you'll like it. Thanks for being terrific. Enjoy extra brain power to defeat everyone."

Grin.
