As much as he liked school, he had to admit being home was nice and he could grow to appreciate these ‘holiday’ things in a way he obviously couldn’t before. Dax sat on his back patio trying to get through his Potions reading when he saw his bestfriend flop down in the seat across from him.
“Wanna go set the sprinklers off and let Manson play with them?”
He glanced over at her for only a moment. “No.”
“Why not?”
“I’m Allergic.”
“To water?” The scepticism was evident.
“No, to trouble and by extension water sprinklers near my mum’s sheets.”
