Little brothers weren’t meant to read owls sent to their sisters, but it was allowed so long as you didn’t get caught. Problem was Dax always got caught because his sister was too smart for her own good. If she told his mummy then he’d be in trouble and good little boys didn’t get in trouble!
“I’ll give you chocolate if you don’t tell! Freya, pleeeease.”
“You don’t have any chocolate.” And a roll of her eyes to boot.
“How do you know?”
“You’re not allowed chocolate and wouldn’t risk getting into trouble.”
“So…Is that a no?”
“Goodbye Dax.”
