Lex. Had three topiary going at once???? She knew the girl could be eager when it came to practical activities, but this... was perhaps excessive? Seren was too engrossed in staring to be bothered to interrupt and question the Prefects actions. No.. but she was distracted by someone else.

SPOILER!!: Robin

Just as she was about to explain she wanted it to be outdoors, she came up with a solution. She grinned at the climate control spells and hurriedly wrote them down in her notebook, then turning back a few pages so she would make sure what the ideal climate would be. Rosemary likes moisture so hot and wet would do the trick, but not excessivly so.
"Imperium Fervidis" she lightly tapped the base of her plant and flicked- coughing at the sudden change of temperature around it. She made a note to bring a thermometer next time.
"Auguamenti" She held out her wand and watered the roots until the soil was pretty moist around it, that should keep it cool for a while.

"Bravvooo!" Seren cheered, her voice catching in her throat for a moment before she managed to continue. "See that everyone! Watering! It's the number one rule in herbology when planting or transplanting... so.. do it!"

Was everyone paying attention? Yes? No? Time would tell.

SPOILER!!: Bart

What was everyone doing standing, moving, but what were they doing. He hurried as fast as his body would allow to sit up straighter and try to figure out what was going on. He squinted at the board and pulled out his notes. Boxwood that’s what he had decided on. Getting up and shuffling towards the front he looked at the seedlings. Thank Merlin they were labeled because he wouldn’t know which was which that’s for sure. Grabbing the boxwood seedling he made his way back to his workstation.

Now he had to dig the hole. He looked around not even having a clue what the spell was so he needed a shovel. Merlin how far behind was he. He shuffled his frog slippers across the green house and made his way to the shed. Hopefully the class wouldn’t be over before he shuffled back to it. Finding that it wasn’t when he got back, he began to dig. Stretching his tired old muscles every once in awhile. His head of house was truly trying to cause heart attacks wasn’t she? Once the hole was dug and he thought it was, he placed the seedling in it.

Now why would they just be using a seedling. Wouldn’t it take too long to get them bigger? Just as he thought it Bentley answered his thoughts. O_o was the woman a mind reader? Maybe old made her hear thoughts or something. He looked around did anyone else feel an uneasy spine tingle? No? Just him? Alright that. He took out his wand and stared. What was he doing again? Looking up he noticed spells and plants, oh yeah right. Making the seed turn into a full plant. He tapped the seedling “Vitari Boxwood” and it worked! On the first try! Did anyone else see this! IT WORKED! His boxwood was grown.

It had come as no surprise to her that Bart was lagging behind, his age was showing, seeee.. but he managed to catch up in the end, and with such fervor! "Well done!" She saw! She saw! He did it on the first try!

But ugh... now to move back into prime position for the next step. Or two. Again, it depended on how well people were keeping up.

"Fantastic work everyone... and now we get down to thee business end, so please, once you have watered your bush, it's time we start trimming and pruning away to form our design." Easier said than done, right? Right. And this would make for an interesting experience for most students, if not all.

"As suggested with your homework assignment, it's best if you try to work with a couple of different methods to get a feel for things, so help yourself to sheers, don't forget the trimming charm, diffindo if you have a particularly troublesome branch... and let's get shaping!"

And because her memory was slipping, but had at least come to her now when they needed it most, "Gloooooves On!"

OOC: Activity! Prune/shape/don't hack/stuuufff your topiary. This part of the lesson will last for... lets say 48 hours. If you're aiming for full participation 5 posts are required. Again, if you need us, holler, otherwise... go nuts!
