At least this was one part of the activity she didn't need to supervise closely. Because really, how hard was it for students to select one seedling and return it to their station? .... Hhhhmmm?

That being said, she did recall the girls homework submission, and seeing as she wasn't clear which plant species was 'fluffy' enough for her design.. it really didn't surprise her that the Prefect would be experimenting with a few varieties. It was a good thing there were spares.

Of course, there were exceptions to this, not everyone was able to plan their design before submission as opposed to using the submission to think about planning... go figure???

It was still reasonable, but more realistic than the few that seemed to be considering anywhere between twenty to fifty. Honestly. Some students were perhaps too ambitious.
"The first thing we'll need to do, is some foundation prep. If you require a pot, whatever the size, you will need to grab one from the shed down the path... otherwise you will need to make hole in the ground right where you are."
