25. The Sorting Hat

Adi was nervous for the Sorting. He didn’t know why; it wasn’t like he had to do some sort of test. He watched as the students before him were Sorted and soon it was his turn to try on the Sorting Hat. Now, his nerves had ebbed away and he was feeling excited at the prospect of finding out his House.

The Hat spoke in his head, describing all his qualities while the eleven year old listened, fascinated and also impatient. Finally, the Hat made its decision and shouted it out, the one word echoing through the Great Hall:

HUFFLEPUFF!
