Feeling her push him just a bit, Eddie released her with a curious look, which she met with a frown.
"Eddie.. sit, please." The redheaded Costa mumbled, gesturing toward a pair of chairs.
Concern washed over the young Mae like a wave in the ocean. "Hey.. love, what's wrong?" Eddie frowned too, and reached for her hand. "A beautiful girl like you should never look so sad.."
"This isn't working," Ashley whispered.
