It was helpful the whole term especially since they were being charged whenever they entered the common room. All her books and materials for the day were packed inside her tiny bag.
Yeah yeah yeah. Back to the Ancient Runes topic.
Kat was sort of surprised when she entered the room and saw Botros. "Good day, Professor," she greeted. And when Kat approached a seat, she stared at the piece of wood and that thing on top of the desk. It looked like broken doorknob with a long, sharp thingy attached to it. Yep, more staring.
Then she took a seat and waited for everyone else to arrive. Was she the first one? Uhm yeah, guess so. And that notice on the board. Don't touch the doorknob thingy and the piece of wood. Okay then. Botros smiled at the Prefect, the first one to arrive to class, and he moved just a bit to let her pass through the door. "Hello dear, good morning." Quote:

Turning she noticed Kat and smiled, "Hey Kat, umm great match. I know we really didn't get to congratulate you guys properly with everything that happened, so I figured I'd say it now. " She gave her fellow sixth year another smile before she found her usual seat in the front.
Pulling out her parchment and quill and of course her book, since this class still stumped her at times, she made sure she was ready. He nodded to the Hufflepuff, his smile matching hers. "I'm alright thank you." He would be better if there were no dementor news lately. Ugh. Poor kids. It was basically why he waited for them at the door instead of inside the classroom. Quote:

Only 'cause, well, he had to or whatever.
So yeah, he walked into the class, gave the Professor a nod. Yeah, that was ALL he was getting from Ascanius. It was better then most other classes taught by guys...they got glares.
And then he sat down.
Pfft. What was with the doorknobs? The kid!boy got a nod and a small smile back. He was one of the dozers in his class, but Ab liked the kid all the same. It wasn't the kids' fault this subject was intense for their distracted minds, Botros had the life experience to realize this. Quote:

But then again what's the point since she'd already done it. Sigh.
Picking up her pace she stood by the door and smiled,"Good day, Professor, how're you?" Hanging up in that old body of yours?
Peering inside the classroom she saw that she was among the first to arrive. That allows her to pick a seat for her liking. The blond offered a smile to her classmates then slid into a chair. What was this weird-looking tool? Hmmm...Looks dangerous. She wasn't going to touch it for sure no need for the warning on board. That probably was for curious hungry minds. He smiled widely at the Snake girl. "I'm alright, thank you. Hope you had something to eat before class." He watched her walk inside before moving his gaze back to the corridor. Quote:

After taking a stroll all the way up to the fifth floor, the Hufflepuff made her way towards the Ancient Runes classroom and entered keeping her strolling pace like before. She was in no rush, she knew she was on time and why rush if she was. You rush you crush, she agreed with that. "Morning, Professor." She looked at the old man and his cane. If she was that old she knew she'd never want to spend her time teaching here for a living. But hey everyone was different.
Seeeat. Nessie took one and looked at the strange object on her desk. Were they going to carve or something? Hmmmm? "Good morning." He greeted the Head Girl back and smiled at her. It was probably her last class of Runes. Aw. Quote:

It wasn't every class that she actually got to sit by him so no harm in trying to once in awhile, especially since she was so early and the class hadn't filled up at all yet. He got a bright smile and then she eyed the stuff on her desk. No touching just eyeing. Was was that thing anyway? Ab nodded at the polite Gryffindor, "Hello dear." He moved to the side to allow her to pass through the door. Quote:

"HELLO PROFESSOR!!" She chirped, BEAMing up at him as she found him by the door. "Hope you're well and all that!!--Oh hey, what's that?"
Her attention was now fixed on the neat toys on the desks. She walked to the desk that had her name on it then sat (completely missing the note up by the dais). This looked neat. She poked at it but when nothing happened she rested her head on her desk and tried getting a side look. There was more poking after that.
Did this thing even do anything?
It didn't seem that way. Finally she sat back in her seat and just STARED at it as if she was trying to will it to do something. .... that was unnecessarily loud. Botros blinked and nodded, "Hello miss Cambridge." And because he knew her, his eyes followed her into the classroom and until she was seated and poking. He frowned. "It's the last class this term, miss Cambridge, I wouldn't like to take points from Gryffindor at this time. Please pay attention to what is written on the blackboard and stop playing with the tool." Tsk tsk tsk, her father was going to want to hear about this. Mhmmm. Quote:

Taking his seat, he remembered he hadn't greeted the professor upon his entry. "Good day, Professor" he shouted across the room. Botros nodded back at the Hufflepuff, "Good day, son." He didn't have to shout across the room though, the professor was waiting for the students at the door. Quote:

And speaking of Botros, THERE HE WAS! RIGHT by the door! "Hello Professor!" he chirped -- CHIRPED -- up at the man, a grin spread across his face, "Hope you're okay!" He gave the man a two finger salute before heading over towards the desk that had his name on it. The same old desk with its usual--
Ohhhhh?
He tilted his head as he stared down at the weird object on his desk. "Erm..." he started, intending to look up at the Professor but instead, his attention was drawn towards the blackboard and the writing on there instead. Don't play with the tools and the wood? Okay. Shrugging, he sat down in his seat and looked up again. "Hello, mister Summer." The kid got the same blink Cambridge got a moment ago. Why all the excitement this early in the morning? Kids. "I'm alright, thank you." Again, the dementors news irked him so he was not his usual "great". Quote:

He sat down and noticed the Professor, Kace smiled and said, "Good day Professor!" with a wave. "Nice toys you got there!" Then he got out his notebook to attempt to look studious.
He heard Alexa's voice and was wondering what they were gonna do with the toys today. He was starring at them and observing them carefully. Aww. Botros couldn't help but grin at the little kid and wave back to him, "Hello, son. They're not toys, they're tools and they have a name." Which was what their lesson was about today. Quote:

So Professor Botros earned a rather bright wide smile from the Prefect when she stepped inside the classroom. "Good day, Professor!" She greeted and then headed off to take a seat. She eyed the object which she couldn't identify on her desk but didn't touch it, per the instructions on the board.
Hmmmm. I wonder what we'll be working on today..... she thought. While she waited, she allowed her mind to wander freely for the meantime. He smiled at the Prefect and nodded, "Good morning, dear." Good thing she was in a good mood. Quote:

Right? "Hello, Professor. Nice Cane!" Nigel did like a good walking stick. But canes were awesome to.
Nigel walked to an empty seat, sat down, and waited. Botros chuckled and looked down at his cane, "Thank you." Ravenclaws were kooky sometimes.
There was still some time for any late-comers. Botros stayed by the door with his cane held in front of him. |
