The young man before her frowned, which seemed to infuriate the brunette further.

"Rae, please," Stephan began in the most soothing tone, "Think about Emmy, think of our future. We're a family now. Let's calm down and discuss this together-"

Lorraine took another step toward the door, her daughter in arms. "I'm done talking, Stephan."

"Give me a second chance, then. For us."
