Nikolas could feel his lips pull up, white teeth showing in a grin despite himself. The dark haired young woman behind the counter gave him a rather suspicious look, one hand on her hip.

"Do you make eating sugary treats a daily habit or something?" Jasmine asked, though it was hardly a question. He had been in the bakery every day now for the last three weeks, and so far, refused to accept 'no' to his date proposal.

"Possibly," Nik replied, his voice smooth. "Or maybe I just enjoy coming to see you every morning."

Jasmine rolled her brown eyes.
