The whole reason he was here.
Sheesh. DING! The buzzer flashed green victoriously. Right-o, good sir. Quote:

She kept wiggling her fingers while she waited on the next statement.

How about NO?? Clearly none of them were remembering IVY KNOX! The woman had it out for her! Honest!!! She just KNEW that if she was falling off a bridge and the woman had the chance to save her, she'd shove her quickly and hope no one was looking--not that THAT would stop her. Pity too because they bonded so well in that detention filled with hugs and ice-cream. Siiiigh.
Her aching hand scrambled for the RED buzzer and she slammed down on it. Press. Press. Press. Press. Press. Press. Press. Sorry Professor Romanos, that time, the extra buzzes were TOTALLY called for. She wasn't gonna offer an explanation, just in case word got back to the woman. Nope nope nope. ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! ZAP! James eyed Cambridge, wondering if she just got a kick out of those shocks, and ultimately frowned at her. Did she really not trust the staff? Quote:

Seriously. Like Bond-dude. Yeah, she still thought he had the looks and swag of a super villain. He totally did.
The sixteen year old debated for a moment or two or seven and then decided to just hit the one she thought they wanted her to. Green. Professors should have their students best interest at heart. Just saying. The button flashed a brilliant shade of emerald for the Hufflepuff captain and gave a delightful DING! of affirmation. Good choice. Quote:

Take this question. It seemed like they were SUPPOSED to press the green button, like with the one about the prefects and captains. But could it also be a lesson in not blindly putting your trust in people? Because that wasn't always safe. Mainly Tobias wanted to believe that this one was true, but he was also a big believer in not simply believing that statement just because they were professors. Anyone could be a bad guy.
Realising he'd been looking back and forth between the two buzzers for some time, Tobias shook his head and held out his left hand again. He felt so very guilty, and also felt bad for this option, 'cause all his professors had been nice and now it was like he was INSULTING them which worried him. He didn't mean these teachers, gah. Looking anxiously up at the professors, Tobias winced in anticipation as he slammed his left palm onto the red buzzer. The flash of crimson that shone from the buzzer under the boy's palm was accompanied by a ZAP! Sorry, bud.
And the professors felt insulted. Just a bit. Quote:

And he pressed green without even thinking about it. Authority. Who could deny them? Boring, perhaps, but this one was on a roll! The button under the boy's hand flashed a shade of bright green and emitted a quick DING! Good work! Quote:

Some professors were here to be paid. She actually didn't have any names but people weren't perfect. If Cassia was a professor she wouldn't be liking all students. Human nature. And no worries, she wasn't considering becoming a Professor anyway. Tiring career.
And now to the buzzer. She pressed down on the green button. DING! A wise decision! The button responded by lighting up under the girl's palm a lovely shade of emerald. Quote:

Did she count as a professor? After a moment of consideration, Alice decided that she did and pressed the red button a couple million times.
Eyeing you, Truebridge. ZAPZAPZAPZAPZAPZAPZAPZAPZAPZAPZAPZAP!
Wrong, Captain Fischer. James stared at the girl, wondering how in the world a student leader didn't trust her own professors, before following her line of sight and... looking at her BFF!Bunz.
Oh. Quote:

Erm. Always? Jory supposed that was true. Well, he never had any problems with any of his teachers at Hogwarts nor before. He pressed his green buzzer. DINGDING! Two correct answers and two bright flashes of green under the Hufflepuff's hand! Good work! Quote:

He desperately wanted to snort at the whole thing...but figured that'd be massively frowned upon. Blast.
Anyway. For this next one...he was just going to go ahead and press the GREEN BUTTON...even if he doubted this was really the case for SOME of them...It was hard to know WHAT Professors thought most of the time. DING! James gave a nod of approval to her Slytherin Captain as his buzzer lit up green. That made two out of the three Captains present who had good judgment. Quote:

HUH????........*tilts head with a quizzical look*
He must have an defective buzzer or something....Then he heard the question the professor asked. He perked up his hears. He actually KNEW the answer to this one!
He pressed the GREEN button and knew this was the right answer. He knew he wasn't gonna get zapped for this one.
Kace smiled at this one. He knew the professors wanted to make sure they were doing a great job watching after them. How could he pass this opportunity to say yes. Kace chuckled at this and knew all his professors had his best interests at heart.
He looked at his green button with glee. He pressed the GREEN button and knew this was the right answer. He totally agreed with this statement! Dual flashes of green and an accompanying DINGDING! signaled this student's good choices! Quote:

DING! The buzzer flashed green, thanks to good logic skills! Quote:

But he wouldn't ever say that and potentially hurt Ab-Bot's feelings. Mo pressed green. DING! How kind of you to spare your professor's feelings. The button lit up green in approval! Quote:

Maybe that was a reason to press Red – her finger poised over the button momentarily and then she stopped. She didn’t know if she was going to be zapped or not, she didn’t really care either way if she was…but, Lexa had been zapped so many times and if she suddenly started convulsing and needed someone to carry her to a working flu she’d help.
She would so help get her friend to mungos if needed.
Yep.
Because she was her friend.
Taking her finger she decided to toggle between the buttons for a moment. Pausing over green, then red, then both, then green again…and PRESS. She slammed her hand down on the green button as hard as she could.
When the next question was asked she just sighed. Really? They were being asked if the teachers always have their best interest at heart…her mind immediately went to Professor Flamsteed. He ahd tried to talk them out of losing points for the explosions…darn Firth and she had liked him and his cattle.
Sure she might have just liked to stare at him…and wonder about the kilts – like how many he had. And things…she flushed suddenly as she sat forward and eyed the buzzers in her hand.
It was Botros asking…and Botros was nice – Botros also gave them a HUGE assignment for the year that she needed to finish…it was time to work on it. Not much time left to actually so she gulped.
Pressing her finger down on the green button she then quickly flicked the red one, and then the green again. So she was mainly neutral on this one. DING! DING-ZAP-DING! The buzzers in front of the Ravenclaw quickly flashed - the agreement buzzer quickly flashed green upon being pressed and the disagreement buzzer shone a menacing shade of crimson. Mostly correct.
"Of course we have your best interest and safety in mind!" James threw her arms in the air in astonishment that anyone managed to answer incorrectly. She settled her hands on her hips, a kind, encouraging smile settling on her face as she made eye contact with those who answered incorrectly. "We would never do anything to risk your safety. Really. Truly. I promise." Intentionally, at least.
One more. Probably. It would be painless. They could get through it. There was a light at the end of the tunnel.
As another one of those you know the right answer here, be good questions, James stated with a tone of finality, "I can help make Hogwarts a safe and happy home for everyone." Green button to agree, red button to disagree.
