“One of the skills you will often be tested on in herbology, is the ability to pot plants, whether they be seeds, seedlings, or matured plants, and practise makes perfect.” She paused here to direct their attention to the board. “This is the standard method for potting plants of any stage, learn it, and use it.”

Taking a pot of her own, Seren demonstrated just how simple the process was. “Add your soil, a pinch of fertiliser, drop in your seed... top it up, and water...” it wasn’t muggle science or anything. “Now you have s go. Take an umbrella flower seed, and pot it into a pot corresponding to your house colour.”
