7 galleons and 16 sickles so far, West was generally pretty happy with that. Even if he took off the one that Dylan had got, that West had only assisted with, it was still an entirely good number, 6 galleons and 3 sickles. And he still had alllll of his jars. That was how it was DONE people.
West continued eating his sandwiches and selling guesses, and soon he had hit 14 galleons and 11 sickles. Not bad at all. People didn't mind supporting them for a good cause, and so far he'd only had to give away four consolation prizes, all of which he'd got for free, and even if he had to buy them they were only worth 9 sickles altogether.
West was an AWESOME entrepreneur, obviously.
He sat back, relaxing while there was a lull and looked around. Heaps of kids had sold all their jars, but he was pretty confident that he was doing the best with this, if you took into account total profit.
If nobody guessed the amount, he was thinking they could sell them off to one of the potions supplies stores at a discounted price, and maximize their profits.

"What's going on here, then?" The lady who approached next had two small children with her, one of them on what appeared to be a leash.
West eyed that up with fascination. A leash. A leash for a kid. Never seen that before, but within a few seconds it was obvious WHY the kid had a leash. He was trying to go here and there and was obviously a bundle of energy and insanity. West watched as the lady masterfully twisted and maneuvered so that the child couldn't reach a single jar of eggs.
"Well, we're fundraising for Hogwarts students, as part of our Care of Magical Creatures class, we had to harvest these eggs ourselves." He explained with a winning smile.
"Would you like to buy some guesses? If you guess the number right, you get the lot. You can buy hints too." "Oh well if its for a good cause!" The lady looked at the sign and then at the covered jars.
"Three hints please!" She placed the galleons on the table and pulled her child out of the way when he tried grabbing for them. "Okay." West tried not to look too excited. THREE HINTS. THAT WAS THREE GALLEONS.
"First hint: There is less than 100 eggs across the ten jars. Second hint: the number of eggs is more than the number of Hogwarts kids in this tent. Third hint: Only three of the jars contain an odd number of eggs."
West paaaaused. These were good hints too.
"Oh well that means there must be an odd number of eggs in total." The lady said immediately. The kid that wasn't on the leash clung to her skirts and peeeeeered at West with big eyes.
"Just one guess please." She counted out six sickles.
Just one? Was she that confident?
"You can get another two for just thirteen sickles total." He gave her an eager smile and provided parchment and a quill for her guesses.
"Write your guesses here ma'am." "Oh.... twist my arm!" She said indulgently and added another seven sickles and wrote her guesses down. 65, 67, 69
West checked the parchment and took the money.
"I'm sorry, you didn't guess right! Do you want to try again?" "I better not! Good luck dears."
The lady led her two children off and West added the 3 galleons and thirteen sickles to the total.
