He walked into the assigned greenhouse right behind the Professor. "Hello Professor." He was just about to walk over and take a seat but he paused and looked at Bentley with a questioning gaze. "Do you have problems with garden gnomes? Because I could help you with them. I've been wrestling gnomes since I was four years old." And he had yet to meet one that he couldn't beat. "Hi," she managed to say by way of greeting, before the young Lion asked an unusual question... "We get the odd few here and there... but I will certainly keep you in mind should I need a hand," she replied with a nod. Because lets face it, the more work they wanted to do... the better, right? Comparing this place to their common room was... uh, ew. Nothing positive.
Oh, Professor Bentley was there. "Hello Professor Bentley," Kat greeted and went to take a seat. Yep, she was STILL admiring the pretty and clean greenhouses. Now why can't the Slytherin Common Room be anything the same? Cos obviously this place did not look abandoned. It deserved a bit of admiration and praise, yeah? "Hello dear," she responded to the Slytherin, flashing her a grin. Quote:

"Welcome welcome!" she chimed It was good to see some cheerful faces, bright and ready for class. Quote:

As she stepped in, the seventh year noticed that Professor Bentley and a few students were already there. ‘Hello Professor’, she greeted before making her way to the stools, picking a random seat. As she waited for class to start, Gwen noticed that, despite the way everything seemed to have changed at Hogwarts this year, the greenhouse was quite orderly. As usually. "Hello Gwen," she greeted the Ravenclaw. "Good summer?" Quote:

It was comforting to see that the greenhouses were tidy!! "Good day," she greeted the silent Slytherin. Quote:

Ky's history with exotic plants have not been pleasant. Well...if it hadn't been for Ky's overwhelming curiosity and absurd risk-taking mind, he would not have gotten bitten by the fierce, hot-tempered green monster with spikes, and had to stay in the hospital for days. He will make sure nothing like that will happen again.
Ky ruffled his hair and adjusted his collar as the other students filed into the classroom. Keep it cool, Ky. Keep it cool... "Good day, welcome," she greeted one of her new Lions. Boys... why were they so quiet and brooding? Was that a 'thing' with them now? Quote:

Professor Bentley was already there. "Good day, Professor!'' he greeted. The Puff wanted to know what they would be working on today and couldn't wait to get started. He hurried off to find a seat. "Hello Jory, welcome back!" she beamed at the Hufflepuff. Quote:

Sarah said.
She then opened up her textbook and began to revise what they had learnt the previous term "Hello Sarah," she greeted the young Lion. "Oh good, I'll keep that in mind," she added with a wink. Because dung was always a requirement in this subject... and not many of her contacts were willing to provide it pro bono. Quote:

No.
When she reached the greenhouse she spotted the Professor and, with only the tiniest bit of a stutter, greeted her. "Good D-day, Professor." she said with a small smile, taking a seat on one of the stools and looking around.
Derry liked plants, flowers especially. She wondered if any of them could actually sing, like in Alice in Wonderland... even though they didn't have larynxes (which, according to her mother, made the whole thing impossible... but her mother said a lot of magic was impossible... that's what came from being a half-blood, apparently.) Seren liked this one already... she seemed sweet, and innocent. "Hello dear, welcome." Quote:

He sat down one of the stools and waited, not bothering to look around at the other students. Besides he didn't have much people he knew anyway. "Welcome back Zeke," Seren greeted, offering the Lion a smile. Quote:

Anyway, the Third Year practically sprinted down to the Greenhouse, hoping to make a VERY casual entry if it turned out she really was late. How did one make a casual entry, you may ask. Simply, slink in.
She stopped at the entrance to the Greenhouse, completely out of breath, relieved but disappointed. She wasn't late, it looked like the Professor had only just arrived as well. But...but she ran. She ran all the way from her Common Room.
.....
..............
SIGH. "Hello Professor!" She said, beaming brightly over at the woman as she tried to catch her breath. Not late. She could live with that. Merlin.
Seren smiled, it seemed as though someone had been in a rush to get here on time. "Alexa, welcome back," she greeted with a nod. Quote:

Hannah spotted the professor and gave her a polite smile. Oh yes, Hannah was being polite so far... "Hello Professor!" "Good day dear, welcome back." Really... it had been a while, and it was so good to see the Slytherin again. Quote:

Was this a conspiracy?... "Please... anything but ma'am," she pleaded. They could call her sir for all she cared, just not ma'am. Quote:

This year, Oakey was going to try and tough out Herbology, just how many classes does Bentley teach where you need to stick your hand into the Demon Plants anyways?
Was it too much to ask that Herbology see some of the Cutbacks? Maybe have all the Man-Eating Plants sold? It didn't look like Oakey would have that wish granted. "Hello Professor. Is class...safe today?" Oakey asked as he took a corner seat in the back row. He looked above him to make sure nothing would sneak up from above him. It was nice to see Oakey in the greenhouses again, though his question made her want to sigh. "You're in luck... nothing dangerous today." Unless he tripped and fell on his face, that would be dangerous or at least potentially harmful... to the boy as well as the plants. "It's good to see you back, head boy," she added with a wink. Herbology was one of his favorite subjects. One out of a few. As he walked he realized that things closer to the green houses seem untouched. It was. He entered the greenhouses "Good morning, Professor Bentley." Then he went and flopped down on a stool. One thing that didn't look right was the fact the the store cubbard look bare. Did that mean they would be working on restocking them? "Hello dear, good to see you again," she greeted as the Slytherin joined them. Quote:

And she was...bubbly?
"Uh...good morning..." she paused, "..Professor" Lioness. Uh... .. Seren blinked a few times. Why was the girl looking at her like that? Did she have food on her face?
With a subtle wipe of her mouth she smiled at the Gryffindor.... this wasn't weird at all. OOC: Too lazy to quote from here on... XD @MabelleMalfoy "Good day dear," she greeted in response. It was wonderful, having such polite young Lions. @fanficfanatict (OMG!LOL)
Seren beamed as she noted the next new arrival to the school... er... she knew this one... As... Asta.. no, Asca... Ascanius? Yes! "Likewise, and welcome to Hogwarts," she greeted the lad.
Oh?
She looked lovely? Hhmm. "Er.. thank you."
She would have to keep her eye on this one. @Bazinga "Hello Minerva," Seren greeted the familiar Hufflepuff. "I've been well, it's good to see you again." @Talikins "Hello dear," she greeted with a nod, smiling at the Hufflepuff Head Girl. @Forever Yours
Oh look... another Hufflepuff, was that all of them now? "Good day," she greeted with a nod, closing the door behind the girl.
Seren checked her pendant watch... it was about time to get the ball rolling. Quickly marking down the attendance, Seren moved away from the door and positioned herself in front of the arrangement of stools. "Welcome, everyone, to a new beginning." And there were a number of things that were new this term... some which would take some time to get used to. "For those of you who don't know me, I'm Professor Bentley and I will be your Herbology teacher for the term." She paused to make eye contact with a few new individuals. "I trust you have all familiarised yourself with the class rules, there is one rule which is particularly significant...." no, she wasn't going to make them guess, they ought to know it by now anyway, ".. and that is to wear protective garments at all times," she concluded, holding up her own gloved hands. "If you haven't done so already, can you please put your gloves on now... if for some reason you have misplaced them, you will not be able to participate in today's lesson, or any others until you find some."
Giving the students a moment to rummage in their bags and whatnot for their gloves, Seren turned her attention to the flowers hanging from the ceiling of the greenhouse, directly above them. The large, thick vines criss-crossed along the beams that have been set there. Large pink and white flowers hung down in places, and where the petals had parted from their receptacle, seed pods could be seen. "Now this term, we will be looking at cultivation and the various skills which are involved in preparing the land, planting the seeds, and growing for profit." Yes that's right... for profit. They were going to do something useful with their curriculum. "The focus of today's lesson will look at harvesting or collecting seeds from some interesting plants." Again, she turned her attention to the large flowers above them. "Can anyone hazard a guess what this particular plant is?" she asked. OOC: The lesson has officially started, do not announce your late arrival and do not edit your posts. The lesson will continue in approx 11 hours.
