Of course we don't want to keep the students in the dark about anything important, but if it would be in their BENEFIT to NOT say anything, then that would be the route we'd take," Nolan explained. "However, there are only a few extreme issues that I feel would not be appropriate to discuss with students. For example, if an employee were to be laid off to new hiring would be taking place. One thing that is important, however, is that we, the board, communicate with students about what they want to see. Feedback is always needed and encouraged when it comes to what students what to see. It is THEIR education, after all, we SHOULD be asking them and communicating with them what they want to see us put in place or what they think is needed in the school."
