"The question I pose to you is: If you were to be elected onto the board, what would you ensure becomes a priority as far as the long term plans of the Board are concerned?"
Nolan got up to the podium and cleared his throat once more. "Well, I believe the first thing that needs to be addressed in the long run is some sort of resource center for students. As Hogwarts stands now, many students have an idea of what they want to do and no idea how to begin down that path. I'd work to create a job resource center, working hand in hand with the Ministry, that gives students pamphlets, handouts and organizers to help them figure out exactly what field they want to go into. Right now we're sending kids to the wolves without any idea of what they want to do! I know when I had been at school, if I'd known of all the possibilities out there for someone interested in Divination, I'd have settled down into a permanent job much more quickly."

And MAYBE his Inner Eye wouldn't have decided to go blind. There was that thing too.

"I'd also like to see more clubs or internship programs to work with this job center I am envisioning. It'll take a bit more time on the professors part to run these things, of course, but we are willing to work with them and I would be open to letting students or even Ministry workers head up the clubs as well. As for internships, perhaps a shadowing program for students who want to at least sit in and watch a job for a day at the ministry, just to see what is available."

"We have long prided our community on being a step above the Muggle world. However, these are all ideas that have been implemented in Muggle schools across the globe, yet we are stuck steps behind them in this regard. It is time to start bringing our students the tools they deserve to figure out exactly what they want to do. I don't want ANY students leaving the school saying they don't know what they want to do with their lives. That is MY long term goal for the school. Thank you."

He sat back down. He wondered if Brock was in the audience, praising him for his awesomeness in this debate haha.
