Not many people noticed that there was a candidate in a wheelchair and that it might have been just a tad strenuous for him to get on that stage, but Sherman didn't mind. It wasn't unbearably difficult, and besides, he could do anything that the others could do, even if he was a bit older than them. But the elderly man felt slight butterflies fluttering in his stomach at the idea of debating, but he seemed to not have entirely failed at the last one. How was that for a confidence booster? Still. When the first question came, though it was similar to one they had received at the previous debate, he mulled it over for a LONG bit. Because.. well, even if it was expected, he wanted his answer to not be horrendous.

"But I am a graduate of Hogwarts, one who has a genuine desire to contribute to the institution and its students' experiences at school." He paused once more, trying to collect his thoughts again. Sherman wasn't one for lengthy answers, not that he in any way disliked those; he just had the least complex manner of speaking in the world. "The only thing that drives me to run for the Board is I have the notion that children at Hogwarts deserve the best education possible, and that they should receive it." Because that was the important thing, the children, yeah? "I suppose I stand out because of my motivation and aspirations for these students. If any one of my fellow candidates can deliver this to them better than I can, then let it be."

The main idea was that the kiddies got their education, not that Sherman got elected, wasn't it? It WAS. The old man beamed at the crowd once more and then promptly turned his wheelchair, rolling back to the seats.
