Truth of the matter was that he didn't know too much about Arithmancy...No matter how well he'd done on his OWL...It was just a good thing it had been on something he KNEW...because there was so much the Slytherin DIDN'T know. He'd lucked out.

Just like now. He could fake knowing what he was talking about. Something the Slytherin was totally adept at. "The Chaldean Number System, ma'am...It's different from the other one that's mostly used..." What had it been called? It started with a "P"....It was something muggle-sounding....

Selina was pretty glad that Hadley had accepted her answer of numbers for what was Arithmancy. It was not that Selina was purposefully trying to be ignorant, but without a guide from a Professor or specific instructions Selina was never really sure to do with the numbers. Her textbook was her best friend in this class. It was an awesome reference.

Although, she was not super ignorant in this class. At least she knew, to an extent, what she was talking about. Enough that when Hadley asked the class to name a type of number calculation Selina had an answer. Raising her hand, she asked in almost a guessing tone, "Is the agrripan method one?" Was she even saying that correctly? Merlin, she hoped so.
