OMG! I'd written a post! And SS ATE IT! *is horrified* So... this is my lame and deflated attempt at re-creating it. It's really not even half as good as the other one was. *dies*
Thanks lovelies for reading! ... Heh, she may be a little out of her depth.

Giving in to her gut feeling, the adrenalin giving her strength, Ellouise proceeded to the Ministry. If you don't know where to start, then it's always best to start from the beginning, and it was this advice that Ellouise took in arriving to the Ministry. Soon after departing Karkaroff's home, she found herself in the cavity of the establishment... the Atrium. It was cold, dark and smelled of all things nasty. If she hadn't known she was walking straight into danger, then she would have been alerted to it by its atmosphere. The tiles beneath her feet were slick, and judging by the dark shade and putrid smell... it was blood.

"Ooohh sir, you're here sir." Came the voice of a hooded young figure. The male voice was not yet developed, and if she were to hazard a guess, she'd have figured the boy was around her age. Ellouise pitied him, for being a part of this... pitied his misfortune, or perhaps his stupidity.
"Mmhhmm," was all the reply she could muster.
She felt out of her depth, every muscle in her body ached to get away from the place, but her heart kept her where she was.
"W-we-we thought..." started the boy, his pearly white skin visible through the folds of black fabric that threatened to drown his small frame.

"Thought what?" she asked, her voice manly and raspy enough to pass for the aged man she impersonated.

The figure hunched over slightly, was he afraid? At any rate, Ellouise wasn't able to evaluate him for long enough before he turned and headed toward a long corridor she'd barely noticed off to the left.
"... thought you were... done for," he finished.

Done for? Why would Karkaroff have been done for?
Somewhere in the distance behind them, screaming erupted. The sound cut through to her core like a knife through butter. It sent chills up her spine.
She hadn't replied, because after all she didn't know how to reply. This wasn't an issue though, as far as she could tell, the boy wasn't expecting a reply.
