Alysssa finished reading about the house elves. Agreed, some of them actually loved what they were doing, but she couldn't understand why they didn't leave and do something else.

"Mom, why do people still have house elves? I mean we are capable of doing the things elves do, so why do they make the house elves do it."

"Alyssa, the house elves believe that it's their purpose in life. To serve their human owners."

"Well I think that it's wrong. Someone should write to the Ministry about that."

"Hermione Granger-Weasley did remember?"

"Oh yeah. Well maybe they need reminding again."
