Minerva listened as class began. A prop.. Hmm this could be interesting if it went a long the lines of some of the other classes there could be endless possibilities. Listening as she talked about curse breaking her eyes widened, did she just say they would be doing a curse breaking thing today. Which would mean they would have to have something cursed to do the breaking.

When the question came Minerva put up her hand, "Professor, if we are going to do curse breaking, don't we need to first know some of the curses and what their affects could possibly be? I know you said there can be different reactions, but we would have to know some similarities to know how to break it." Well she hoped that was close to being right at least.

So she'd brought a prop. Yes, this confirmed his suspicions. They were going to get a demonstration! And when she asked the question his hand hit the air. He enjoyed being able to actually contribute to a class for once. "Don't we need to know what the curse is going to do to us if we activate it? Or maybe what exactly the curse IS?" Two ways to word the same thing.

After Professor Hadley hopped down grom her desk and asked the first question. Oakey litterly almost fell backwards from his chair as he shot his hand in the air. "a Ma'am! WHOAH!" He shoved his chair forward and placed it's front two legs back n the floor. "Sorry Professor, I uh I think that to break a curse we need to know how to identify it and cast the proper counter curse to break it." Oakey sat completely still in his chair after answering. If he got anymore excited he may hurt himself.

Oh. Breaking a curse. AGAIN. Ugh. The girl remembered this class from a couple of terms back, it's probably not the same but some basic knowledge from before was enough to know that this class was going to be hard. She scribbled down some references on her parchment before raising her hand. "We need to identify the curse first. That's one of the two essential first steps." Louisa lowered her hand and continued, "The second step is to know how to bypass or break the said curse."

Just as he whispered back to the Head Girl the Numbers Guru stood from her desk. He settled back into his seat when the Professor asked the question. Piercing blue gaze goes back to the box as their topic returned to Cursebreaking. What should they know before trying to break the curse? Well they'd need to know what they were up against, yeah? Like what dangers might be involved with a particular curse and some spells that might help break it? Those sort of things? Best to do the research first before going into action. "Professor? I also think we'd need to know a bit about what type of curse we'd be dealing with before trying to break it."

Sierra glanced up as the professor hopped off her desk. Yup...definitely a Hufflepuff. That action just seemed like something an over-eager Badger could do at the start of class. Sierra focused on this thought for a moment until the professor asked the first question of the lesson.

Sierra raised her hand. "Well, it's just like you said--no cursed object or person may react the same," she said, lowering her hand. "So I think you first need to figure out exactly what sort of curse you're dealing with, and then you figure out how to react to that specific curse. Otherwise, you may be getting nowhere fast, or worse--causing a serious accident."

Curse breaking?! Interesting...guess that explained why they'd be needing there wands. She tried looking a bit more attentive now. Curse breaking could come in handy later on...she didn't know where life would take her--but she was excited about it!

Aaaannnddd the question. She decided to give answering it a go. "Well I think you'd have to know which curse it is first so you can know the strength and nature of it. That way you'll be prepared for anything that might happen if you screw up....might help if you know how to remove it too..." Jut saying. She was pretty sure that once you found a curse there wouldn't be any time to go to the library and check out a book on removing it.

Is that the right word? First off, the blonde thought of the Curse Breakers and what they should know before they do such thing. "Maybe we'll be dealing with numbers," Kat said. What could she even say? Arithmancy had letters and numbers, right? "After all, Curse Breakers do some banking and everything."
