Entering the room, Ells offered Hadley a wide smile. "Hi Professor, how are you?" Probably better now that her classroom wasn't sinking. Yup, no longer Titanic status which was good.
The fourteen year old then found a seat in the middle of the classroom and plopped down with a small smile, setting her bag down on the floor beneath her. Right. She was ready to go. Josephina smiled at the young badger who was first to enter the room. Good; her late notice on her lesson hadn't affected people in coming down. "Morning, Ella. I'm alright." Given the circumstances of her house being displaced from their common room didn't justify a 'good', but they were making do, no? Quote:

But only because she'd missed the first one and wanted to know what kind of Teacher Professor Hadley was. As the class progressed she would see if she was still looking forward to it as much as now. And the next student to enter was one that Fina knew already, despite her being only a first year and not having attended the first lesson due to ... circumstances consisting of a rough start. Fina just only hoped that her time away from the school so early in her education had helped her, but her words were enough for now. "Welcome, Miss Cambridge. I hope we don't disappoint you then." Fina said, being truly honest with the Lion. Quote:

Her head of house was one of her favorites and she would not miss this class for the world.
Looking around she couldn't believe she was one of the first to be in there. Picking a seat towards the front, she pulled her book, parchment and quill out of her bag and placed on the table. "Any new news on the common rooms professor?" While they had some time she figured she might ask to see if anything had been found out as of yet. Looking up as another student entered, she smiled again at the student. "Hello, Minerva. Yes, I hope so too." Because the last thing she needed was Myrtle interfering again, on top of the other issues going on at the school...
Speaking of other issues; Minerva just had to bring that up, didn't she? "Unfortunately no. I wish I knew why you all were displaced..." the last time this happened was due to the merpeople, but somehow she sensed the merpeople were not to blame for this term's displacements. Quote:

Anyway, she went into this lesson hoping for the best but expecting the worst. Including wearing some older shoes that had seen better days. "Hello, professor," she greeted, finding herself a seat. She pulled some parchment and a quill out of her bag before placing it under her desk. There, all ready! Quote:

You know the Fellow Hufflepuff, and Quidditch Announcer who couldn't keep her mouth shut during the game about his and Laura's failed relationship. She clearly took sides in the match as well supporting Laura, and totally blew his fear out of proportion.
That aside, Oakey removed his things from his bag and set them up on his desk. "Are we gonna continue our lesson on Curse Breaking?" He asked his Head of House. He hadn't lost interest in the career and wanted to learn three times as much as he could today. And another student! Beaming at Oakey, she smiled when he greeted her and then took a seat near his housemate, settling in before chirping up with another question. "Didn't I mention last lesson that this term was all about curse-breaking?" Cause she was pretty sure she did, but given all the chaos, it may have slipped her mind. Quote:

"Good day, Professor," he said with a pleasant smile as he walked past the woman. It wasn't her fault the class turned out the way it did.. or at least he didn't think so anymore. The boy turned and glanced around the room for a place to sit.. and his green eyes fell on Minerva. Really, Minnie? Front row? Chuckling to himself, he smiled at her and made his way over until he saw the seat next to her was already occupied.. by some Puff boy. Frowning a little he took the seat behind her.. he guessed he didn't have to sit next to her in every class. Quote:

Now...where were her notes from the previous lesson... Quote:

He entered the classroom and spotted the numbers guru preoccupied with her notes "Good day Professor Hadley..." he murmured politely as to not to be such a distraction too much, then made his way to his usual seat, and proceeded to bring out and organize his notes and quill neatly on his desk. Everything seemed normal when he arrived. "Oh, hello, Professor,'' he greeted. Then the Puff headed off to find a seat and run through his notes from the last class. Quote:

Besides how to escape a flooding classroom without getting too wet, and that Myrtle wasn't a baby dementor. She actually still had to find out if baby dementors actually existed, to be honest, but that wasn't a question for Professor Hadley. And she was here already, so she couldn't exactly turn around and skip the lesson on the chance she'd have to do math.
She'd just have to make the best of it, and maybe she'd be surprised again. She still surreptitiously made her way over to the seat behind Vickers and to one side. That way, as she'd originaly intended the last lesson if things hadn't gone all "guess-what's-in-the-box" before devolving into lots of icky bathroom water. "Hi Professor Hadley," she still said, giving the professor a smile even though the woman wasn't really paying attention. Then she sat down, pulling her bag onto her lap for a second to dig around inside for a piece of chocolate before taking out her textbook and note-taking (and sketching) material as well. She'd need fortification if she was going to get through this lesson. "Hello, hello!" Fina said as the next round of students entered the classroom, taking their seats and not bothering to ask other questions.
Once it seemed as if a fair number of students entered the room, Fina rose from her chair and gave a once-glance around each of the student's faces... So some of them, no probably most of them, were worried about the lesson being interrupted last time. Something she worried about too, but she was not about to let that interfere with the lesson today. "So last lesson we started talking about curses and then before it was abruptly ended, we were trying to identify some objects I had prepared given one of our senses obstructed. Can anyone think why that may be important to the subject of curse-breaking?"
