It was just after the spring performance and Lex found herself getting a lecture—and for no good reason either!

“Young lady how many times do I have to tell you that hooting is both inappropriate at the theatre and very unlady-like behaviour?” Ms. Owen fumed.

Lex made a face as she looked up at the woman. She sighed. “I don’t see what the big deal is, all the boys were hooting and for the last time; I’m not a lady so stop telling me what ladies are and are not supposed to do.” What was so wrong with hooting?
