“So what are you wearing to the Yule Ball?” Lex heard her friend as while they were up in the dormitories. She leaned back onto her pillow and shut her eyes, trying to block out the world.
“My PJ’s.”
“You’re not going?”
“Nah.”
She sighed, opening one eye to look over at her friend. “It’s simple. I told Nikki and Carter that I would go with them both but now I don’t know how to tell them that I don’t want to go with either of them so I figured the best thing to do is just not show up.”
