“Why won’t that thing shut up?!” Amanda shouted over the screaming baby. “Can’t you make it quiet? I’m on the phone here.”
Alexa looked over at the woman in disbelief. Did she think that getting a baby under control was the easiest thing to do? She watched Amanda leave the room and head into the next. Picking up the baby, she did the same. When Amanda saw the two she rolled her eyes.
The baby’s hand caught hold of an object and hurled it at the woman.
“Hey!”
The baby giggled.
