16. Dragonhide Gloves
“Are you mad? I’m not wearing those!” Alexa protested, tossing the gloves aside.

Her father sighed wishing she wouldn’t be so difficult at this particular time. “Lex, this was one your list of school supplies…you need to wear it.” He tried patiently. She only shook her head.

“I can’t wear those.”

“Well why not?!” He asked in frustration. This didn’t jerk her one bit. Instead she looked up at him with calm eyes.

“Can you imagine me walking with these then some dragon walks by and thinks I’ve killed it’s cousin—how do you think that will end for me?!”
