“Why can’t he come?!” Alex fumed upon hearing that her friend Jeremy couldn’t go to the park with her and Will.
“Don’t you know anything?” Will challenged with a thick coating of impatience in his voice and an animated roll of his eyes. Lex glared up at him. He knew she hated when he started acting like a gown-up know-it-all despite his being only a year older.
