96. Socks
“Daddy have you seen my socks?” Alexa called from the top of the staircase.
“The pink ones?”
“No the blue ones.”
“You mean the ones I got you for Christmas?”
“No the darker blue.” She got the feeling her father had no idea what she was talking about—but he had to…daddies always knew. She slid down the railing of the staircase and landed on a pair of pink socks.
…These use to be blue
“What happened to my socks?” She asked. He shrugged as he walked by with a load of laundry.
“I told you they were pink.”
