27. Owl

Bubbles

Racing to the owlery with Eric, JD tore up the stairs three at a time. Swinging around the last turn before he got to the stairs leading up to the tower, he slipped falling flat on his face. Watching as Eric jumped over him and landed at the top of the stairs, he shook his head. “Ok mate, ye beat me, now where’s thet owl ye mentioned?”

Standing up he saw Eric was already grinning with a small scops owl on his shoulder. Taking the few steps to him, he slowly moved his hand to pet his new owl Bubbles!
