Kurumi had been mildly afraid for her life in the sanctuary over the lobalug, and the predicament they were in now was at least ten times worse.
With rapid fluidity, Kurumi continued to cast Aguamenti at the creature, hoping that one or more of her jets of water would hit him and dose the flames. Quote:

She just hoped that nobody had noticed, or at least, if they had, they would have just thought she'd been distracted by everything else. She had been, that was for sure, but she still was embarrassed that she hadn't gone for the use of charms as opposed to acting like a Muggle. Especially as most everyone else hadn't thrown themselves to the ground, and it became rather evident that Professor Williamson hadn't really appreciated being pulled to the ground himself. Not to mention there was a Slytherin who obviously wasn't anywhere close to being on the professor's good side, trying to cancel out their Levitation charms as if the skrewt hadn't attacked first.
She'd gone back to casting the Levitation charm herself once she'd stood up again. Hopefully the skrewt wasn't going to fire again, but she wasn't going to run scared again anyhow. And she had a feeling if the skrewt understood them, it would be afraid to cross the professor again too. Especially as he'd explained his plan to everyone, and she'd nodded, not wanting to speak and interrupt her casting. She wasn't sure an Impediment Jinx would keep the skrewt from returning if it really wanted to, but she could hope that it would at least be too afraid after everything to try. And, as the professor hit the count of three, she shifted her wand towards the forest as directed. Hopefully the plan would work. Quote:

Hearing the Professor's game plan, Ella got up slowly, dusting off her robes before pointing her wand at the skrewt. Boy it really must be angry now. The sooner it returned to the forest, the better. When the time was right, Ella said the incantation loudly, aiding the other students. "Wingardium Leviosa!" Quote:

He flicked the Wingardium spell away and replaced it with the wand stroke for "Protego", at the same time dodging behind the Professor for added protection. Yeah when it comes to the danger of getting burned, Vickers wasnt risking himself when it wasnt his plan that was being followed when trying to dispense of a problem.
He could see the student leaders handling things well enough then looked onto the Professor wearily. He had a right mind to just collect his precious school supplies and stand away in a safe spot while things were dealt with by those in the position to do so, but as he took a look around, there were already enough youngsters that wasnt making the situation any better.
With a deep breath, he raised his wand again on the Professor's cue and started with the Levitation charm, putting as much force as he could muster directing the Skrewt towards the forest. Quote:

The professor was falling, the students were falling, some were shooting water, some were running, and some were just crazy. It was a complete disaster and highly funny and in the middle of all of the chaos was fire shooting everywhere.
The Skrewt was highly amused with itself and the chaos it has created. It continued shooting fire and pinching its pinchers in a wild motion. It was thoroughly enjoying itself until one of the students hit him with water. And instantly its fire became hot smoke. Well that was as effective, but it was still effective.
Finally, the professor was on his feet again and instructing the other students to join in with him and before the Skrewt could shoot at the professor again, it felt itself being hit with a pretty harsh spell and it was flying through the air towards its home. As it flew, it continued shooting fire towards the students as a final pardon shot.
Williamson watched as his class regrouped and worked together to keep the Skrewt levitating, and then, when he asked them to, levitating toward the Forbidden Forest.
"IMPEDIMENTA!" he shouted loudly, adding a silent stunner along with his first cast, pointing Oakey's wand at the skrewt and watching as it spiraled away toward the Forbidden Forest. The thing's back end was still smoking and William could have sworn the creature would have been laughing were it capable of such a thing, but all in all, the creature was gone.
Thank MERLIN. Now he just had to deal with the (likely traumatized) students. Quote:

Had Williamson been busy with his face full of mud, Hades could've saved Blizz! As he gets back on his feet and makes a run for the the skrewt, he suddenly he feels as if someone tackles him from behind. Hades falls flat on his face. In the mud. Struggling once again as he tries to get up, Hades finds himself binded by a rope.
To make things worse, there comes Williamson literally dragging him away like a sack of potatoes. "Leggo of me!" he kicks the ground in protest until the professor finally stops and lectures him. "Couldn't we just resort into something other than violence?" Talk back, Hades' specialty. "I'm sure Blizz isn't so dangerous!" It can't be! Even if it is a hybrid of... Manticore, was it? Starting with this one. "Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire, kid," he sighed, flicking his wand at the boy to release him from his ropes. "A fully-grown blast-ended skrewt is as dangerous as a young, untrained dragon. And the thing about skrewts is: you CAN'T train them!" They were wild beasts!
"Don't make me restrain you again or you'll be kicked out of my class and thrown into detention." Indefinitely. Quote:

William turned to little Laura next, who, after tackling Hades, didn't seem so bad after all. "Finite," he murmured, lifting the silencing charm off the child. "Laura, thanks for tackling your classmate, but in the future, PLEASE think of your own safety first and don't try to talk to creatures that can't be talked to." Like Skrewts. "If you need a list of reasonable creatures you can negotiate with and ones that you shouldn't waste your breath on, come to my office sometime and I'll help you out.
He nodded and then held the wand in his hand out to Oakey. "Thanks for letting me borrow your wand, Oakey. I uh, I swear I thought I still had mine..." He'd just forgotten where it was.....
Anyway. Time to finish class up. "Let's regroup in the barn, everyone," Williamson raised his voice to be heard. "To the barn! We need to debrief and discuss what went wrong with our handling of that magical creature back there." Williamson led the way to the safety of the barn where the hay bales from the last lesson were still set up. "Go ahead and tell me one thing you think you, me, or your classmates could have done better in that...." that SNAFU, "that altercation with a blast-ended Skrewt."
They could have a LOT of different answers here....
