That sounded like a good answer to Nate.

He was about to ask what was wrong with her when the Professor spoke so he closed his mouth and quickly found a seat to sit.
Ah so they would be going outside soon? YESH! Daichi loved to go outside. He was okay with classrooms but they got boring the longer he stayed in them and field classes usely meant practical classes.
He looked at the Professor when he hoisted himself onto the desk and after hearing the question he raised his hand in the air. "You say a chant, Professor Jenkins?"
"They're good answers but the chant comes after the runes have been made." Oliver gave them an encouraging smile.

Still, she WAS here for her own personal benefit and there was no sense in being a harpy about the whole thing.
Listening to other students for a moment, Kurumi raised her hand. "What about painting them?" she asked, remembering that they had done so in the past. "I believe that most runes were painted in red, um... falu red I think is the proper name, but other colors were used as well." Sure, it may have mostly been for decoration, but things done in ancient times always seemed to have a deeper meaning.
And of course the Prefect didn't disappoint with her answer.
"Thank you Miss Hollingberry. The last process of making a rune set is staining the runes."
Oliver slid off the desk and walked around the room.
"Now in ancient times, they used to stain the runes with blood. It was seen as a sacrifice on your part and bonding you closer to your runes. In more modern times, they started staining the runes with paint, as Miss Hollingberry said. The best paint or stain in my opinion is red ochre paint. Can anyone tell me why that it is?"
